Hi there, In IPB 3.x, we were used to call: $ipsRegistry->ajax->convertAndMakeSafe() … to clean any potential XSS injection in a request parameter. Do you know what we have to do in IPS4 to achieve the same? Thanks a lot

I created a test machine to test the 4.0.x upgrade and ran into something which I don't know is a bug or some configuration somewhere. On my production site, I see a post with that contains this string: £350, however in the upgraded test area it is £350 and I am not sure which process may have caused that. I suspect it's not the upgrade, but any help with the cause would be great.

I want dropdown fields where members select a location, but I want the kind when you select Country, and in the box under it, the states for that country appear. How do you do this? It is pretty common but can't see how. Thanks

Hi there I am on a Cloud-Community, and have been logging into the ACP on my forum to see this message - which has been there for a while. Now, I have read through all the guides on the Main Website about upgrading, and assume I have to log into the Client Area on the Main IPB Website and press a button there to start the upgrade process. However, that button doesn't seem to exist in the way it seems to in the guide, and I can't find it anywhere else. Now, despite the distinct possibility of looking like an absolute idiot by posting this, how do I upgrade my site to 3.4.7, and/ or IPB 4 when the time comes?

Hallo, when i clear cookies history from my browser, when i visit my site not loading with first time, i must renew the link, after that alls ok until clear cookies, the problem is in first visit, what is wrong? (i try it with 3 browsers, on differents computers), my site is lifehack.gr i try cache management, template tools, cookie: .lifehack.gr, resychronize topics & forums, disable redirect to new friendly URL format,URL type query string or Path Info and more! now hands up, any help? sorry is for ipb 3.4.7 not for 4

Before you ask, yes, I've submitted a support request. I can only assume that staff are very busy following the release of IPS4 because I get one reply every 2 days and it still isn't sorted, and I submitted the request last Saturday. I've created a Home page using IP.Content (purchased just a week ago). Using 'Manage Blocks' I added the block 'Customisable Topic Feed' but didn't like it, so I removed the block and clicked 'Finish Editing'. Now, no matter how many times I remove the block and finish editing when the page is refreshed the block reappears. I'm keen to get the Home page finished and usable, but until this problem is sorted I'm stuck. Any advice you can offer…

Hi, I've changed the URL of my forum and now the icons are missing from both the frontend and ACP. I've updated the file storage settings in the ACP and changed my URL in conf_global but it seems that the board is still referencing the old URL to get the font. Any ideas what else I need to change?

Sorry if these questions were asked before, but I couldn't find anything. I'm trying to fetch 10 files from each download category ID by modifying my templates. As the Pages app was not shown as a link after upgrading from 3.4.7 to 4.0.2, I thought I might fix it by uninstalling it and re-installing it. Unfortunately, the site looks this way now I still have acces to the AdminCP ... Pages looks as followed and under System/Applications the Pages app is shown this way I downloaded the Pages app again from the website and wanted to install it. But one needs a tar-file for this and all I get is a zip-file. Any help is appreciated.

Is the removal of "protected forum" and post counts for forums that guests can view, but not see topics an intended change? On 3.4.x guests or groups with perms set to see forum but not see topics would still see post counts and instead of last post info on the right they would see "protected forum". On 4, post counts are gone and instead of protected forum it now says "no posts here yet" which is VERY misleading. If this is an intended change, could I get some assistance from someone on how to get it back to showing post counts and "protected forum"?
