Alright guys, heres the thing. Im trying to do some customization for my ipb forums. Thing is. I can't seem to figure this out on my own. Issue one/two how do I change the name Blog to News and the word Forums to Media Kit (A example is the tabs you see above saying blog/ forums. Id love that changed. As well as when you're in that section the first title you see is blog/forums.) So by changing it, id love it to read News/ Media Kit based on which tab you're in. Third issue is on the blog section. When I view the front section (picture below) and want to read an article, if i click the link, it goes to the article, but if i click the picture, instead of going to the ar…

I had this setup with 3.4.7 in the SQL section of AdminCP but 4.0 doesn't have an SQL section. I'm doing a weekly draw on my forum giving away $50 every week. To enter, members have to contribute 50 posts in the forum over the course of that week. I need an SQL query that will generate a list of every member who posts 50 times or more in the forums from [starting date/time] to [ending date/time]. I've tried to figure it out but I'm not an SQL pro by any stretch. If anyone could throw me in the right direction, I would be super grateful. Thanks! -Andrew

I just upgraded my forums to IPS4. The archive feature was turned on and it archived a good 75% of my community. I am unable to manually unarchive the topics or if I turn off the archive feature, It doesn't unarchive the posts when it said it would. Has anyone run into this before? Can this be fixed? Should I create a ticket?

I have iThemes security installed on wordpress which is located in my root folder. However some of it's .htaccess rules are leaking into the forum sub folder. I'd like to blanket exclude any rules from my root .htaccess from being applied to the forum subfolder. (The forum sub folder already has it's own rule set) Can I place the following at the beginning of the root .htaccess?: RewriteRule ^/ - [L]I'm hoping this will stop anything from be applied to the sub folder Thanks!

Hello, I have some RSS feeds into forums (all testing), and have an issue and a question: The tasks for RSS does not run consistently, not sure if there is an error on a feed (nothing in the logs) or what the problem is.When they do run, they grab just the last 10 entries, is it possible to tell them to grab all new items and not just the last 10?Thanks!

So I want to upgrade from my 3.4.7 install to 4 but must admit I'm a bit clueless. I've uploaded the files over the current install but only the install directory will work and not the upgrade one. It just gives me an internal error. is there any idiots guide to how to do the upgrade process? I found this but it seems a little bit technical and complex any my help much appreciated

You used to be able to set a Downloads Category as a "folder" and so that it would just list files from sub-categories, but that doesn't seem to work like that anymore by default. Is it possible to just set a Downloads Category as a parent folder, and allow uploads only to sub-folders? Yes, you can use permissions to disallow submissions to the parent folder, but when you browse the parent folder it shows up empty until you browse to a sub-folder. It would be nice to treat the parent as just a folder and just output all new items from the sub-folders... Has anyone set it up like this?

Is there a way to have advertisement images resized or disabled when viewing the site on a mobile device? Had a look on my phone and the layout is good but the advertisements go off the page generating a lot of horizontal scroll.

I have been trying to upgrade my community from 3.4.7 to 4.0.8 but I can't run the upgrade. Every time I go to the upgrade path, I get the following error: An error occurred (500 Error) We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now. You can try again by clicking the button below, or try again later. I have converted the database and this was confirmed as being completed. The files were re-uploaded and I still get the error Is there something I am missing or doing wrong?

Hello, I am on 4.0.8.1 - I would like to know how I can embed external content into a new CMS html page. This page will have a link on the top nav menu and then inside the CMS frame will call the external webpage content. I tried using jQuery and such, but that doesn't seem to fly. Is there a "standard" way of doing this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, one of the forums that I have is the Marketplace, it will be perfect for the customer to select BUY or SELL defined tags... the problem is that if I define this tags will show in all the forums... is there any possibility to select in only one forum? Thanks!
