So I want to upgrade from my 3.4.7 install to 4 but must admit I'm a bit clueless. I've uploaded the files over the current install but only the install directory will work and not the upgrade one. It just gives me an internal error.

is there any idiots guide to how to do the upgrade process?

Coming from an 'idiot' himself, it really is quite simple. Literally follow what it says and you'llbe good I did it myself and I have limited experience

If you follow the article step by step you will find that it was written to cause as little pain as possible.
