I tried upgrading and got this error Email address or password incorrect. Make sure you are providing the details that you use to log into the IPS Client Area at invisionpower.com/clientarea The info is correct as I can log on to the Client Area here but I cannot upgrade. Any idea why?

I have the "Recently Browsing Block" enabled on my forum. When you're on the first page it shows all the members browsing the topic but when you are on any other page it only shows yourself as browsing a topic. Any ideas how to get this fixed?

Hi, sorry if this has been asked however i tried searching and couldn't find anything. How can I restrict admins to only be able to give members/other lower admins a select few groups. For example A hierarchy of Mod > Admin > Core Admin > Community Leader > Founder I want the community leader to be able to add "admin" to "core admin" but not be able to add them to "founder" or "community leader" I thought this was an automatic setting depending on what powers the groups have but it turns out the Community Leaders can add themselves to founder and core admin can add to founder too, Thanks

Hi, I am trying to convert over from XF but when the converter asks for the path to the photos (which should be the Avatars, correct?), it always tells me the path is wrong. I know it is right because when I enter it into the browser it shows me the Avatars. Please advise.

In my Moz.com dashbaord I'm getting reports of duplicate content errors for URLs like this: https://www.hookah.org/community/forum/13-hookah-lounge/?page=1&advancedSearchForm=1&sortby=forums_topics.last_post&sortdirection=DESC These are pages that allow the users to do a custom sort of posts in a thread. Does anyone know how I can do one of the following: 1) Remove the Custom Sorting option from the different sorting options available to Guest Users? 2) Put a canonical tag to not index these pages as separate pages?

Hi folks, I just changed over to IPBoards 4.1.14.1 and have it working great on a local VM with local storage. My production VM uses an array for all the large storage. I moved my uploads folder and set a sym link to the uploads folder: from /var/www/html/uploads to /storage/websites/IPBoards/uploads FSTAB is set for 777 directory and 777 file access. Which fields need to change in IPBoards to tell it that only uploads is moved to a new path? I changed the path in ACP -> Files, which immediately hosed my layout and all functionality. Thanks, Derek

Hi all! I have a block included on the right sidebar within a topic. I need to get the forum id so I can place conditional logic to exclude an ad unit within the side bar when a user views topics in a certain forum (adsense can't be shown on my off topic forum). I can grab the topic title from the block without an issue. I can also grab the forum id within the "forum view" fine (but not topic view). I just can't seem to grab the forum id within the block (embedded in a forum side bar). Can anyone help? Thanks!!

It looks like this: Note that he received reputation four times, but they all say they're from "alleztom". 2. When I visit the post in question (https://thesandtrap.com/forums/topic/78581-rfkfreaks-journal-about-golf-past-present-and-future/?do=findComment&comment=1278107), I see the four reputation points, but they are not all from alleztom (not that it would even be possible): So, is anyone else seeing this bug, too?

here's where the upgrader is stuck - any ideas? Incorrect prefix key; the used key part isn't a string, the used length is longer than the key part, or the storage engine doesn't support unique prefix keys public_html/xx.com/applications/core/sources/Setup/Upgrade.php::645 If I click continue or retry, the same results occur.

1. How do you set the allowed dimensions of the pictures? All I am uploading are being resized to thumbnail size, and I can't find the setting that controls this in the ACP. 2. Once uploaded, how do I insert them in an Article using the Page Builder? When I click on the Insert Other Media option, it shows only Post Attachments, Gallery Images and File Download categories -- and I can't see the pictures. 3. What is the purpose of the single image that can be uploaded at the bottom of the editor screen in the records view?

I have a long time, very prolific user who now likes to post controversial Personal Photos. And with over 10,000 posts, and probably twice that many nice photos, whatever he is using as his Personal Photo ends up everywhere. And I don't wish to delete all his content and ban him - it has been quite good. I created a new group and just put him in it. I prevented him from uploading a Personal Photo, but apparently that doesn't stop the "Upload from URL" option. I put zeros in the size fields for Personal photos. But nothing I do seems to stop him from getting a Personal Photo to show. My last option is to make "his" group unable to edit their Profile altogether. A…

Good evening, An issue was brought to my attention tonight, and I wanted to put it here before I raise a ticket. A member informed me they were unable to edit their signature. I thought it was weird because I could see and edit their signature. It wasn't until I tried to edit my own signature that I noticed the issue. For some reason, editing of own signatures is impossible outside of adminCP, which is a problem because not everyone has access to that CP. Is there a setting I have missed somewhere? Pretty much as stated. I have a member who has posted thousands of photos. Now he is causing trouble, and I need to ban him. But all his photos are linked to his Flicker account. So, I am afraid he will just delete them all - or prevent us from seeing them somehow. Is there anyway to convert (upload) those photos to my server/software and save as attachments???

Ive never ran SSL before and had no issues at my last host. Moved to a new host and now getting an error on PayPal and Stripe. Im pretty sure its a host issue but i have no clue what to even ask them to turn on or change. Hi All, I was wondering if there is a way to only allow moderators to see reports for activity under the forums that they moderate? Currently I've run a test and the only way is to allow a moderator to see all reports. It does not let the moderator then edit the content, but they can still change the status of the report. Is it possible to adjust the base_url setting from conf_global during page rendering? I'd like to offer the ability for members to enable HTTPS at their discretion, but since we have a few still on Windows XP and we use CloudFlare, I can't enable it globally.
