Hi, So I'm wondering if there's a setting or an app/plugin (preferably a free one XD) for scheduling topics on a specific date. For example, I have a writing challenge going on where the sign ups need to be posted, but not until this Saturday. I'd like to be able to just write it up now and set it so that it gets posted on Saturday at a specific time so that it's all ready to go, but I can't seem to find a setting or anything that might allow me to do this. In this case, it would need to be done in a club. Is this something that's doable and I'm just not seeing how to do it, or is there an app/plugin that does it? So just went to my community and saw the dreaded red banner that I must upgrade. There was a security fix in 4.4.1.... BUT... it does not say if it is a fix for 4.4 or prior versions that need this fix too. If it is a fix for all the versions, I get it... but if only 4.4 and we are still on 4.3.x.... get rid of banner. 😃

Hi quick question is it possible to have a site landing page and also a site homepage I want non signed in members to see the landing page and signed in members to see a homepage with activity etc. I dont want signed in members see the sales based sign up page once they have purchased a membership I want them to see a members activity sext page Thanks in advance

After clicking on Unread Content it takes a while to show content, after upgrading the forums to 4.4.1. Any pointer to figure out from where the slowness comes? Tried disabling all app as well but still same behavior. PS I installed that MySQL Patch which was release after 4.4.1 release. PS2 - All task are completed.

Hey Guys, is there a way to disable the recompression of JPEG Attachment to posts? I am sharing a lot of comparison images and of course recompressing a jpeg is kind of silly for this kind of content. Also, does IPS 4 store the original attachment or is that gone after the upload is complete? Thanks!

Hoping someone can assist. A few of our forum members pointed out that then they try and quote someone's post that contains a quote, it only quotes the post that the person clicks 'quote' on. So for instance if a post has 3 different quotes in it, if one clicks quote - none of those other quotes will be added. Is this a setting that one can change or just a bad approach to nested quotes? I understand the intent of multiquotes, but no one wants to have to go select posts from pages back. How does one retain the quotes in previous posts when quoting that post? It seems like a massive issue to our users who had that functionality on the old platform, as you can complet…

Hi, We have a very small member group and are closed access to anyone who hasn't registered; however since guests can still view the registration page including any bots it means this counts towards our online user count - is there a way to reduce this at all? how do other communities manage this issue to avoid having to pay large fees based on the online users Thanks

I install IPB on one of our other sites and liked it enough to buy it again for my site. When I get to this page however, it just refreshes when I click continue and doesn't get past this. I tried it with Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. What am I missing? It's on the same server (different domain) as another site that installed just fine.

How in the WORLD is the cliente area graph showing that there "Blue line 80 users/Red line 30" at such time? when i'm literally looking at my online users list at that time, and know for a FACT there never once was 80 page views or 80 ppl online, or even 30? Keep trying to upgrade, keep getting this message. Getting tired of it. Is this something to do at my end? I somehow don't think so as I've never had problems upgrading in the past. This is what I see once in a while in "Recent posts". How do I prevent this from being visible? Obviously, guests are not allowed to post anything anywhere so I'm not sure how this is even possible.

I will be updating my forum soon from 3.4.x to 4.4.1 (or more likely, 4.4.2), and during this process I will be switching to a new server. What I'd like to do is take the forums offline, and after I dump and copy the database, put the forums back online in a "read only" mode. Once I have the upgrade complete on the new server, I'll be updating the DNS to point the site to the new server. This process is going to take several hours, and that's assuming there are no issues, so I'd like to at least allow people to continue to read the forums (with a big notice at the top explaining that the forum is being upgraded and that posting isn't currently allowed). Hi... After migrate my Woltlab Community (4.1) first to MyBB (1.8) and after that to the current IPB version i have some problems. The User and Content Migration was succesfull. In the backend i can see all 2.484 members. In the frontend i get just the result 49 Members. What can I do to synch users?

OK; I remember testing this on a test site in 4.2 and didn't seem to have any problems but I'm struggling to find the right blocks of code to drop into a sidebar block (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin/) I've set all the parameters on the page above and can see the Javascript and iframe scripts but can't remember how I then utilised the code; any pointers please?

Is it possible to reject validating members whose IP addresses resolve to a specific country? Either a setting or a plugin? We've been bombarded with spam accounts over the last couple weeks who all manage to get past the email verification, the captcha, and the question/answer challenge to get fully registered. All of them from the same country.

If i enable that feature in one forum, our register page is allways like this: User comes to site. Clicks Register. Gets text "Thanks for your submission. Before your content can be seen by other members, we need to create an account for you.". What submission? That text should be there only if post before register, not allways, right? Hello, We've seen recently strange behaviors in member reputation, members were complaining about the counts that weren't increasing. Then it seemed to work again. So just to be sure I launched a recount on a few accounts, and saw that the counts were in fact a bit overrated (big ones losed something like 5-10 %). I then launched a global recount, same behavior on most of them, but at last the counts now seem correct. My question is : how can I plan a periodic recount of reputation (and maybe also contents) ? I don't see a dedicated task in the admin CP, maybe it's already managed by an existing one ?
