Images in quotes

On 4.3.6 - is there any way to display a link to an attached image rather than the previously uploaded image itself when a post is quoted please?

Not out of the box unless the poster manually adjusts the quoted text.

Thanks, is there anything in the Marketplace I've overlooked?

I could probably build this into my 'Hide content' plugin:

Would it be attached images only, or also linked images?

If could be useful for both as it's about reducing excessive screen space use.

Thanks - I'll have an update for that plugin out once I've completed testing it further.

It will do the following:

  1. convert linked images within quotes into links
  2. convert attached images within quotes into links
  3. if an image is within a spoilter then it won't be converted.....it's already reducing excessive screen space by virtue of being in a collapsed spoiler.

Brilliant, and thank you. Let me know when it's available.

I don't wish to offend by asking but I'd be keen to know if you've moved onwards with this?

Thanks!

It was released on February 26th.....

Thank you, I'd have bought it sooner if I'd known. easy to set up and does the job very well.
