Hello to the forum members. I have run the upgrade today to the latest IPS forum version and once the update should start I have received the following error message: 4S109/5We were unable to start a PHP session. You will need to contact your host to adjust your PHP configuration before you can continue. The error reported was: session_start(): Failed to read session data: files (path: /var/cpanel/php/sessions/ea-php72) Can you please advise on how to proceed? All the best, Nik

I can't seem to get this background process to run. It always get stuck, and even on the tasks page, it says it's never run. The community is fully upgraded, I've rebooted the droplet, and when I manually try to start the Rebuilding Topics sitemap task, I get a blank screen. Also, no error logs are present relating to sitemapgenerator Any ideas?

So I'm trying to take advantage of the social media promotion / Our Picks feature on my forum, and while Twitter integration is working as intended there is some sort of fatal error preventing me from connecting my community to my Facebook Page. When going through the AdminCP, I'm told to head to Facebook and sign in to grant the following permissions: 'manage_pages' 'publish_pages' However when I click the links to head off-site and onto Facebook, the following error is thrown at me every single time. In the user activity log, metrics are dated. I would like to know if there is a setting either in the ACP or a configuration setting in the `conf.php` that declares the time zone used for log dates is based on? The underlying system is set to UTC. I'm suspecting that the ACP log data attribute for when a log entry occurred is also in UTC, but I cannot verify. Is that metric on Aug 9, 2022 6:50:01 PM in UTC or ? If there is a time-zone offset setting in the ACP, I cannot find it. If there is not a TZ offset setting, am I to assume that date-time is based on the system date-time (eg., UTC if so configured). Thanks. Rationale for knowing: …

În ACP - Support I found this message displayed: Some of the source files for Invision Community have been modified. /.../.../.../applications/core/setup/upg_107000/upgrade.php You should download an unmodified copy of those files and upload them to your server. Once that is done, check if the problem persists. I know for sure that no one has modified any files on my server. Can someone explain to me, how this problem occurred and why? I need to worry about server security? Thank you for any explanations!

I've had some strange problems with install of IPB 4.7 on my test site. Absolutely clean install of 4.7, but the installation process craps out in the middle at exactly the same spot (after the core DB tables and apps are installed, and when the "settings" installation begins) when PHP on the site is set to either 8.0.21 or 8.1.8. After some experimentation, the only way I could get the installation to complete successfully was by bumping PHP back down to 7.4.3. And just for the record: all the pre-flight server requirements were in the green. Just letting the Invision folks know!

I have the Member statistics on the main menu of the forum however it does not update. It says the last time a member joined was april. however it was actually yesterday. how do I fix this to update like once an hour or something?

Hello all, Something curious which is not immediately evident to me why this is the case. We have a few subscription packages to choose from, in the subscription settings we allow users to Upgrade or Downgrade their subscription package. As per the below screenshot. I thought everything was working fine, having not checked it (My bad)I had someone comment that when they visit the subscription page, there is no choice to upgrade nor downgrade. The below is an example of a our subscription page, on this page (Logged in as another user), I would expect to see the Upgrade/Downgrade buttons. What have I missed ? Thanks, P

We have the following issue we would like to address. Some of the support desk emails that come to Invision Community Support Requests come from our internal email address but they contain a "reply to" address of the user. For example, these types of requests come from support@company.com but the reply to email address is user1@gmail.com. The support system picks up the user as support@company.com. Thus replying to the request does not end up in the user's email box. Is it possible to pick up the reply-to email address and add it to the CC field or make it the primary address that our reps can reply to?

We have been self hosted for a very long time. Our site was built around html for the longest time. My content guy has moved around 99% of the content to use pages in the forum. That being said there are still images used in pages that are outside the main forum folder. Would those get moved to the cloud and into the database or forum file structure during a move to the cloud? We are currently hosted with GoDaddy and have been running into resource limits that make our site give errors. Is there a way to view inside the Blog Entry Feed only those blogs related to the blog I'm in?
