Ok that's too bad. I wish there was a way to either show those blocks in the "Upcoming Events" widget, or even better, an option to show all upcoming events as blocks-with-photo directly on the main Events page, rather than a calendar.
I have a memory of upcoming events looking differently on the Events page here on Invisioncommunity.com - was it some custom template? I remember a larger picture for the next upcoming event, at the top of the page, before the calendar?
-
Thank you @Nathan Explosion
That gives me a text list of upcoming events, with no graphics.
Instead, is there a way to display the event boxes with their photos, like this?

My next event is in March 2024.
I suppose that that means my event page shows "No events scheduled this month" and will continue showing that until March 1st, 2024.
Is there a way to show something like "Next event March 17th.." instead?

Indeed, this is now resolved. Thank you!

I saw your website, but unfortunately, to me, it's not viable to buy the bundle when I only need the supergrid.
I hear you. However, note that it's not my website, but the website of the developer who makes SuperGrid.

Tab 2 there would have already loaded the partial response that has not been submitted, which I feel is where the issue is here. At the time you open that tab, its actually correct.
Yes I suspect that's what is happening.
-
Right now what I'm able to reproduce is:
- Open a page in a tab (tab #1), start typing an answer but don't submit.
- Open the same page in another tab (tab #2).
- In tab #1 submit the answer.
- In tab #2, click the reply box, you see the answer that was already submitted.
Obviously that's an edge case that doesn't make much sense in day to day use, but I'm suspecting that this is the kind of thing that may happen when I have a tab where I've started to reply, then I get a notification, click the notification and that opens a new tab with that same page...

I've been trying to do something similar. The Invision blog looks great, and I wish this template was available.
In the meantime, I've started with SuperGrid from @opentype :
https://www.opentype.space/superdocs/product-list/pages-templates/supergrid-r8/
I fine-tuned the CSS a bit to get closer to the look of the Invision blog. It got me 80% there.
Also, @opentype is available should you need to have his template customized.

This happened while no extensions where enabled in Chrome.
It's definitely not a huge deal, more like a minor annoyance.
I wonder if this could be related to having the same page opened in two different tabs. I'll try to avoid that and see if that minimizes the issue.

Yeah, this is likely related to being tied to one of our load balancers when it was outdated or otherwise unavailable. That should be resolved now, if not, please clear your browser cookies and you will get one which is up to date. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks!

Does it work in incognito mode or with another browser? Sometimes Chrome is too aggressive in caching pages, and it might have cached that error page.
It works in incognito, and it works in Safari.
I've emptied the cache but still got the error.
I finally emptied "Cookies and other site data" and it's now working.
Thanks!

Ok so I turned off all extensions and cleared the cache, I'm still getting the issue.
The thing is, I'm always using Chrome. I've visited invisioncommunity.com with Chrome successfully many times until just a few minutes before. I haven't installed anything new since this started happening.

Yes. You probably don’t see it because you are looking at your own records, which you can’t react to.
DUH. That was it. Thanks. 🙂

Is it possible for users to react to a database record? I can't seem to find that setting.

It looks like you haven't completed the upgrade process. Please go to <url>/admin/upgrade and follow the instructions.
Yes, but that's odd because I went through it, the website was down for a few minutes while I was watching the progress bars... I'll try again.
Now it's showing this...
Ok I tried again, and now it's upgrading (again).
Ok so this time it worked. And the database warning disappeared. Weird that I had to go through the entire process twice? 🤔

You’ll be able to add any of your custom profile fields, so if a bio is already a part of those then you’re good to go 🙂
Ok that's great thank you!
-
@Ehren Will it be possible to include other data (than what's visible on your video) in the mini profile strip?
Two things that would greatly benefit my community are:
- Add the member signature in the mini profile (so that basically the signature would be hidden by default but people who need to see it would know where to look for it).
- Add a short bio in the mini profile (so you can know what credentials that member has).
Thanks! Can't wait. 🙂

Has anyone else had to do this?
I don't have an official business so couldn't get anywhere with business verification on facebook.
Yes. I ended up being able to get them to verify it but it took a few days. You don't need an official business account. You just need your regular account and the app you've created at https://developers.facebook.com/apps/

Show next event on main event page?

Ok so I realize now that this layout is reproduced only for online events, but not for physical location events. 😞
