Yes, the default IPS group promotion is only called when members object is saved ( for example login, updating post count and such stuff..) so it wouldn't promote him until the members object is loaded and saved.
 
I've improved this for the next release and included a group promotion feature as part of the trophy awarding.

There are no plans to support another points application, sorry ( We have already support for our own not public released points app)
This and several of your other points will be possible in the next major release 
 

But could you add new view options in the trophy and medals menu. Currently, you have to go down the entire list, and you could add a grid view as it is by default in clubs on the forum. For example, 10 positions per line would be displayed. Useful if someone adds 30 or more achievements to the forum.
 
In addition to the new view, it would be nice to see the number of trophies and medals won so far, like ( 20 | 60 ) or "You earned 20 of 60 Trophies/Medals" which displays in the right corner for example. This will affect the readership and orientation of the users more, how much they have already gained and how much they have left.

Yes, it blocks of course the second link too ( and any other hooks extending the profile )

Unfortunately it's not THAT easy to understand the expression code yet, that's why we're working on a better documentation, but hopefully there's also going to be an UI in a future version.

you can recreate the medals with the same rules app criteria or just stand alone criteria from this app. 
that said, there’s also something BIG coming in the next months which is actually being tested by 5 users here... which is going to change  everything 😂

This means that earned and unearned trophies and medals will be shown. The unearned items will be greyed out.
This output will also respect the sort order which was defined in the ACP.

A mockup for the next version (still WIP , I'll probably show 2 items per row to not waste all the space since most people won't have long descriptions)

That's an oversight. I'll make sure to include it in the next release

This button is missing for my member usergroup:

But available to my administrator usergroup

Any idea why? Both groups can still remove bookmarks directly from the post. I can't find a per usergroup permission for the "remove bookmark" option.

Sorry @Fosters, nevermind. This has been resolved. I found the permission. Instead of deleting this post I'll post what I missed in case anyone else has this issue.
I got confused because when I tried to edit the permissions for "Bookmarks" in the Applications section, I got a message that said: "You can control which groups have access to the application by changing the permissions on the modules within the application."  I didn't see that from here, there was an additional dropdown with the bookmark module inside where I could edit the permissions. I created a new usergroup since I initially installed the application, and I didn't realize I needed to grant access there as well as in the main usergroup section.

A plugin to show select categories/products.
Settings
* Choose categories/products to show
* Insert URL's of pages where no to show the widget.

Sounds like a bug. I'll look at this over the holidays.

@Fosters Sorry to bother you again, however for some reason my members are not getting an email nor notification when a medal is awarded to them. 
They are indeed getting notifications/emails for trophies, but not medals.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Sorry about this, this was indeed a bug. This will be resolved in the next release.
