Unfortunately that's not the case, the comments were not deleted and the links still work. I sent you an email with the links so that you can see that the content I had linked to was not deleted.

If anybody else runs into this issue => It's happening when the embed links to a deleted comment/review, so the error is "correct", but I have to admit that it's not really user-friendly, so we improved this by replacing the error with a more meaningful error message and we'll also output the link to the content item the comment/review belonged to.

I use webmin, set up with proxies, firewalled, and secured using ssh login. All said and done you can only access it from local host on a random port you assign. 🙂 security of your control panel is paramount. Especially when you use a free one.

That would be odd, to apply AND/OR to words but exclude tags from the same rule. I hope it is a "bug" not a "feature".

No idea if this is intentional or not...just reporting it.
    Steps to reproduce:
Log into the ACP Navigate to Customization -> (Localization) Languages Click 'Translation Tools' Enable 'Quick Translating' and click 'Save' Click 'Quick Translating' again Result:

Now, right-click the 'Translation Tools' and open in a new tab or window Result:

Now, navigate to anywhere else in the ACP that produces a tabbed display...example: System -> (Settings) Login & Registration First tab looks fine...click the second and third tabs Result:

Now, to the front-end... Go to the Forum application Click 'Start new topic' Result:

The scroll-padding and scroll-margin properties handle all of this for you, and are already built into v5 via a simple CSS variable. No need for pseudo elements or negative margins 🙂

Are bios a custom profile field which you've made? By default, they'll be displayed below other stats with both the name and value of the field. Location is an example in this screenshot:

SeNioR- reacted to Gill in Better image upload & image Resizing For Topics
Hi IPB Team & Community ^_^
As images are essential part of forum topic it would be great if uploading of topic images and resizing would be more optimal
Right now it is quite hassle for first time user of website.

As admin or Moderator we all know how to upload image and resize but for first time user  it is quite unfriendly.

As user i have to first "choose files" then click on insert then i have to double click to resize it, if i just single click it do nothing as shown below.

Even if user able to figure out how to resize image, putting numerical value is kinda odd procedure

However if we see at other forum software they made this process very user friendly as follows
Simple "insert image" button on editor that show upload option

Automatic Blue resizing border around image once it is uploaded  that user can use to resize the images easily

if there is any way we could customize editor to make image upload and resizing as above please also let me know.

We hope IPB team will take note on this and make it more optimized.

    Thanks
    Gill

SeNioR- reacted to Nathan Explosion in "Rebuild synchronized topic content" - doesn't work
    The blurb is:
Correct - it does suggest it will rebult the topic content.
Your reading of the second sentence, however...
It won't recreate missing topics - as far as it is concerned, as a result of a topic previously being created it now has a record of that topic's ID and the rebuild would rebuild the content IN THAT TOPIC.
Let's say you change the "topic display format" for some of the database fields...run the task, it rebuilds the content in the topic that exists already.
Let's say you don't have the setting enabled for a database...you have a load of records, you decided that you want to have topics too. You enable the setting, run the task, it builds the topics because none exist already.
But once the task is run....you have a topic ID. Delete that topic somehow...it won't be recreated.
The field that contains the topic id for a database is the "record_topicid"

Reproducible - the error isn't seen at the time of the deletion, but instead later when the queue task runs.

I increased the InnoDB buffer pool size from 128M to 2GB (My database is 2GB) While there is an increase in RAM usage, I haven't observed any significant improvements in speed.
I'll test whether upgrading my server makes a difference. Please let me know if you have more tips for speed improvements with PHP-FPM, MySQL 8, and NGINX.

When the OP starts the topic as anonymous, the last commenter name shows as anonymous regardless it doesn't post as anonymous in the topic lists

Expected: Only show anonymous name when the Last Poster, posted indeed as anonymous.

I tested in original theme, however the problem still exists.

I disable 3rd party app and plugin first then through test

There's not a one size fits all answer. Drive Fsync speed, available ram, database size, other programs, MySQL (or MariaDB) version, number of CPU cores, if Query cache is available what the cache's fragmentation rate is, whether full ACID compliance is needed or if they can live with a second or so of loss if a crash occurs, and so many more variables.
There are many items that need to be tested, and benchmarked to do it properly.  I don't suggest tools like mysqltuner  -  it will often give very bad advice and I've seen outrageous settings it recommended that people used which hurt performance.  Its okay for getting an idea of a few basic stats.

If you select "Number of comments" is less than or equal to zero, it's the same as selecting "unlimited" and the entire forum will be wiped out. Zero should not even be a selectable option if it is the same as unlimited.  My goal was to kill threads with zero replies, but selecting 0 killed all threads and now I'm doing a DB restore.
