dutchsnowden
Is it possible browse the community using multiple tags? community/tags/tag1+tag2/ Something like this, adding more tags to the search? Nevermind! Found it! /forums/search/?&tags=tag1,tag2&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy
dutchsnowden
Well, seems not to be working correctly: I want to search with AND for both tags: community/forums/search/?&tags=tag1,tag2&search_and_or=and and it gives me back resuts with OR, either tag1, either tag2, but I wanted only if it has both. Jim M
would need to change your search settings in the ACP to "Both". Changing the query string would not fully change the search index and operator.
dutchsnowden
I did not change any query string manually. What are you saying? Are you saying it is a bug in here: And search ignores ALL or ANY setting in this search page? The ACP setting should be for general queries as default search for multiple terms, but I used THIS page, where it is clearly specified ANY or ALL (AND or OR). aia

You appear to be reading the text incorrectly there. "Search term words" not tags that the setting applies to I believe. I am however getting confirmation on that
dutchsnowden
That would be odd, to apply AND/OR to words but exclude tags from the same rule. I hope it is a "bug" not a "feature". community/forums/search/?&tags=tag1,tag2&search_and_or=and SeNioR-
Marc
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release. I too have observed that when using multiple words, 'tag' serches, specifically (NOT term/string searches) by default use OR and not AND (EITHER and not BOTH, respectively in terms of the ACP config)... and there's no apparent way to alter this behavior in the UI or in the ACP. I advocate ability to let the user decide if using ad-hoc term, tag, or author searches. Thanks Edited June 24 by z929669
