  1. For the most part, details would actually be required for purchases. Many payment providers for example would not allow use without address details. Then you have the setup of fraud integrations which would certainly require information before being used, otherwise there is no way in which to track details. You also have the situation internally of an admin being able to track through items. You could end up with 100 dummy guest transactions which would only really be able to be tracked by IP address or email if that is provided (and you are then already into asking for at least one item from the user). These are just a few of the considerations. However we are community software at core. The intention of our software is to create community, and encourage registration of accounts into that community to promote content. Creating cart software for guests to be able to use without registering an account in any way would simply go against the intention of the software.
  2. To clarify no this point, we have previously been advising people run from /admin/upgrade. This has indeed been coming up though, so a ticket has been created with one that had that issue at present so we can investigate and indeed resolve the issue going forward for everyone. 🙂

  7. You have required purchasing switched on, and requirement for address details. So what you are seeing there is the quickest it could ever be on your current options

  10. You can create custom widgets in the admin CP if you own the pages application. Other than that, you would need to develop a plugin yourself for that purpose

  13. You Would simply not force users to choose a product in that case. It appears you want both for people to have to buy and for users not to have to buy. Of course those 2 things are not compatible with each other. In your situation there I would be switching off the force to buy a product, and instead have it as an option only. You can then set the main member group to have whatever free permissions you like

  15. Very sorry to hear you believe this is the case. This was removed some time ago, and hasnt just been removed in the last release. We certainly wouldnt remove items in every upgrade, and would have good reason to remove items when we do

  18. You would use the full registration form if you are looking to get further details from your users, by using custom profile fields. Im not sure what you mean by the full registration being compatible with quick registration. One is simply a different way of registering. Quick registration - You add the minimal details. Any profile fields which are mandatory you can then add to a profile completion step. So the user would be registered, but would then be forced to fill in details before they can see anything more Full registration - You add all details that are required at registration step.

  20. This may well be possible by using Zapier. Of course you would need to get yourself set up with zapier, but that would certainly be one way you may be able to achieve this. It will not do it automatically through the standard sendgrid integration

  22. On taking a closer look at this, it appears to be a bug, as you are using the member keys there. I have logged this, and it will be resolved in a future release

  24. The other items in your logs there appear to be from chatbox, so you would need to obtain an update to that application also, or contact the author for support
