  1. Hi Ryan, Invision Community already has COPPA support (it has included it for a long time), this does not store the users birthday. Search for COPPA in the AdminCP. Additionally, you can also set a different (higher than 13) age requirement for this check if desired.
  2. I have identified the cause of the issue and deployed a work-around in our patch system. A full fix for this will be included in a future release. You should now be able to successfully apply the patch.

  4. If these are actual emoji, which It looks like they are, this means that the database wasn't exported with the proper charset (some servers may not use utf8mb4 by default). You'll need to use --default-character-set=utf8mb4 when running mysqldump. This is something that is irreversible, you will need to export and transfer the database again to your new web host.
  5. We're aware of this and we'll have it fixed in an upcoming release.
  6. I'm not sure I understand the purpose of this request. You want to version your uploads, but you do not want to use the included versioning functionality that orders the files by date/version by default? Personally, I find having a growing list of file names can be confusing to the end user.
  7. Thanks for the feedback, I'll log an internal issue for consideration. Don't forget, background processes (tasks) are designed to work in the background, they are designed to run when your community is open and available. Cron is the quickest, but depending on your knowledge you could also call the same path in a bash script if you wish. YMMV with that though. What kind of background tasks do you have running, you shouldn't really have that many resource intensive tasks after an upgrade from 4.4. Although you do mention a 'conversion' so I'm not really sure if these are tasks from an upgrade, or tasks from a conversion from another software.
  8. No, we have removed the Image Proxy feature. It no longer exists. You do have the option of not allowing remote images if it's a problem for you, your members would need to upload the images as attachments to their content.
  9. With respect, I wouldn't call it a 'serious flaw' (that [imo] would be something like a customer getting products for free or being able to pay the wrong amount). The store still works properly, the only downside with this type of configuration is that automated renewals are not compatible with PayPal Subscriptions. Customers will still receive email reminders that a payment is due and they can pay that whenever they like. Again, this is something specific to PayPal subscriptions, Stripe etc can handle this type of configuration. As noted, we still have this in our backlog to take another look at.
  10. Hi, The Image Proxy functionality was removed in 4.5.0 (almost two years ago). If your image proxy settings are currently set to retain images indefinitely, they will continue to be stored locally after upgrade, otherwise they will revert to the original remote URL.
  11. That error suggests that your server wasn't able (for an unknown reason) to connect to our systems to get the new files. This may have been a temporary issue based on some of the other logs on your system. The real issue is a permissions issue: Mon, 07 Feb 2022 16:42:49 +0100 Exception::0 fopen(../../error.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied #0 /is/htdocs/<path>/admin/upgrade/extract.php(241): Extractor->_extractFile(1) #1 /is/htdocs/<path>/skfipb4/admin/upgrade/extract.php(643): Extractor->extract(0) #2 {main} Your System Log also shows other permission-based errors over the last few days when trying to store CSS.
  12. How are you supposed to confirm that your file works with the latest version of Invision Community when you don't have access to the latest version? This is also a different thing to what the OP is raising. It greatly benefits the Marketplace Authors, that's why they asked for this policy and still as far as I know still fully support it. Authors update their resources to be compatible with the latest release, if you're not on that latest release you may run into issues. That also wastes the resource authors time when they investigate the issue and then realise it's because you haven't upgraded.
  13. Our Marketplace policy (requested and backed by Marketplace authors) is that an active license is required to use the Marketplace. The only exception to this is where you have purchased something, you are still entitled to access it whilst your purchase is active. We do not have any immediate plans to change this at this time.
  14. Hi, Please go to AdminCP > Support and in the top left box you'll see a message that an optional patch is available. Please apply this to address this issue.
  15. We've pushed out a patch for 4.6.10 that should solve this issue.
  16. Great, thank you for looking. We came to the same conclusion that it's specific hooks. We'll make some changes.
  17. I'm unable to reproduce this issue, on one of my dev installs with a lot of custom apps and plugins, everything is working well. Which version of PHP are you both using? (although I've tested 7.2, 7.4 and 8.0)
  18. Logs are automatically pruned after a defined number of days. Click on 'prune settings' on the System Logs page to configure this. I would recommend leaving it set to at least 30 days so there are logs present in the event of an issue.
  19. HI, I have disabled the 'Enable template disk caching' setting on your site, it seems that there may be an issue writing or reading these files on disk. This has brought your community back online. p.s. The way we offer support has changed recently. Instead of creating a ticket, this Help & Support forum is the best place to start. It is staffed by our support staff just like tickets were.
  20. Thanks for letting me know, you should be able to reactivate the purchase from that page now.
  21. @Krzysztof Kosz You should be able to renew it from the manage purchases page: https://invisioncommunity.com/clients/purchases/
  22. You would need to figure out why your app (or anything else from your IP using the REST API) is using invalid credentials. IP Banning after repeated failed authentication attempts is a brute force protected.
  23. I suspect someone in your office (on your local IP) is using the REST API, but they are now using invalid credentials (it could be that they're using the Authorization header to pass the credentials and your new load balancer isn't passing that on to the server)
  24. That looks like you have notification data in your database for Reactions (likes) on personal messages, but the app that they reference (which is a 3rd party) no longer exists (or is disabled) on your community. If you've deleted the application and the issue still exists, it may be worth letting the author know so they can make sure they're cleaning up the data appropriately when their application is removed.
