    When you create a new subscription in SNS, use https or http if you are not SSL

    With the bouncer app, you'll be provided with a url to the bouncer app. This is the endpoint, the actual url that processes the bounced message.

    No problem, I am currently using notifications to my emails without problems.

    This is the part that I don't understand

    I think there may be some using SES that may need support if they can't get SES/SNS working. Support for that is with Amazon, not this app dev. Sparkpost/Sendgrid you plug in an API and that's it. With SES you need to set up your sending methods and then learn how to set up SNS. This is why I mention creating notifications to an email address so you can verify you have that working. Then use the app.
    For anyone planing to use this app with SES, that would be my one big suggestion... get Amazon SNS working now to your email address. Learn how to create topics and subscribe to them. Read up with Amazon SES/SNS. Its not difficult. Once you have it working and you are receiving Bounce/Complaint notifications to your email, you'll know that notifications are working from Amazon SES/SNS. You will then basically switch your subscription method from email to an https (endpoint url for your site that will receive these notifications within this bouncer app).
    If you are using SES now, set up and test email notifications with SNS by each sending email address, not domain name. My main issue why I could not get this working was because I set up SNS to my domain name instead of the sending email addresses. I just figured that out today after messing with Amazon on and off this week. I had thought it was "catch-all" by domain name until I read online each email address has to be subscribed to a topic to send out notifications.

    I finally seem to have it working on my end. User error by me in terms of setting up notifications in SNS, but I can verify that SES is working and bounces are getting processed. I had to read up on how SES/SNS works. My suggestion to anyone using this in the future when its released, is to set up bounce and complaint SNS to an email notification and verify that it is sending via email/working. Then create a subscription to the app endpoint provided. Thank you @stoo2000!

    I wanted to follow up with something interesting. As you may recall I had some custom sitemaps developed which include a map to every post made, and a map for all comments.
    After submitting the maps I saw the "Discovered - currently not indexed" shoot up to ~923K, and it just stayed there for months. Most of the URL's there were the individual post links.
    Last month I saw a big change--a fast drop in Discovered - currently not indexed, as you can see below. It dropped to 320K. As this started happening I also saw my organic traffic, and the number of key words indexed increase.

    Installed but no idea if it’s working or not. Not too sure how to check. Set up with SNS was fairly easy.

    I would like to see additional widget container options as well, including full footer and full header spots. Not just above and below main content so that there's an option to have full width and still a sidebar.

    If I were you I would move to google analytics. I pay no attention or use Alexa or any Cpanel analytics. In fact, I’ve shut them off in WHM to save resources.
    Plug the tag right into your ACP and start measuring real traffic with google analytics.
    If you don’t want to use that, try quantcast. I actually use both on my websites to measure my traffic.

    Maybe only check boxes come up if you apply the filter per app basis. It would make it so much easier to organize content.

    My site tanked 50% after switching from vbulletin and took about 6 months to recover fully.

    Thanks for the update and info. So if you don't have SES by September (when sparkpost ends free plans), can I still switch and use Amazon SES SMTP and just leave this app in place? It just won't pull any new info, correct?
    Will Amazon SES be via API or SMTP?

    No, you haven't. Search engines do not require a meta description tag in order to index a page - they never have, and over the years have only de-emphasized the importance of this tag, not relied upon it more heavily.
    Now, of course, it's possible that topics are not being indexed but should be in random cases and we can take a look at that, but I can unequivocally tell you that it is not because there isn't a meta description tag on the second page of a topic.
    We can take a look - thanks for bringing this up. 🙂

    Maybe @bfarber or @Matt can chime in on what the strategy is with not having a meta description on secondary pages is. There is also no og:description tags on secondary pages either.
    I would also take a look at the OG tags for secondary pages. The og:title should match the page title tag, so if you are on page 2, should be:
    <meta property="og:title" content="Topic name - Page 2">
    same with url, the first page url is always referenced in secondary pages instead of something like:
    <meta property="og:url" content="https://www.yoursite.com/forums/topic/1234-topic-name/page/2/">
    Currently 1st and all secondary pages have the same OG title and url tags.

    Sparkpost is depreciating their free service which means time to move on. Was this ever made to work with Amazon SES?

    AlexWebsites reacted to HeadStand in Newsletters
    this means that your newsletter has some old issue that was never completed properly. Check the "Back Issues" for your newsletter and see if there is anything that is still open; if so, you can just close it from that screen.
    I will have an update released soon with a few fixes, I'm just not ready yet. One of those fixes will be to kill distribution automatically after X days, so that this issue can be avoided.
    Thanks for finding this. CodingJungle and I are looking into it together.

    Is there currently a way to see how many topics would be affected with various word count settings? I would almost prefer to see a plugin that shows you topics that are an issue.

    It would require go through all Topics over a board as a task. I think it wouldn't be effective.
