Pretty sure that is not a message that stops you from upgrading (it does say "After the upgrade process is complete...") nor is it a message indicating the app needs to be updated by the developer.
It's a message that you need to update your installed application, as there is a later version available. If you don't currently have 1.7.0 installed then there's your answer.

Just installed the marketplace version and I see no problem with it:
- No message or app locked in Applications:

 
- No error pointed by the PHP8 Compatibility Scanner:

 
- No error in front end.

 
Where did you usee that message?

You may (if you use these features) need to provide the following after upgrading
Maxmind userid PayPal clientid/secret if using Pay Outs (typically, this would be the same as the PayPal gateway) You may need to apply for access to the PayPal Payout API if you do not already have it.

thank you! updating my phone to 16.4, will set up manifest and test phone notifications. This is a game changer to get members back from facebook groups.

You should move the Poll widget to the Core (currently it is tied to the Forums app) and add a node class in the widget configuration form so we can use it in any app that supports polls.

UI and UX is probably one of the most important things out there so I'd have to strongly agree to see if we can find a way to get prompts on screen to help the user 'download the app' to their Apps screens. Otherwise Apple users won't know the feature exists.
I'll still be pushing it hard for our members as we've been waiting for a way to get push notifications out to Apple users, luckily I have quite a few members on WhatsApp so I can persuade them via that 😅

Thank you for reading our weekly post! This week was a bit quiet as it was clean up and planning week. Q1 has been a success and we are excited to be starting the last of our Q2 deliverables so we can get those out for you to enjoy. Along with that, the team’s focus has been on fine-tuning plans for the second half of the year and beyond, along with some client projects. Not always much to share with you all yet but these are important weeks for us as a team.

Current Happenings
The latest beta version of the April release is out!
As with all beta releases, upgrading your community is at your own risk. Please make sure you backup before pressing that button! This beta specifically contains changes to the PayPal and Stripe integrations. Please proceed with caution if payments are core to your community. 
 
The April release will be ready next week.

Bounce Management is coming in May. 
For Cloud customers, we are adding the ability for you to view reports on bounced/complaint emails, take action on member accounts (purge them or mark them as no notifications), and unblock emails that our platform may be refusing to email. Cloud customers can catch that conversion here:

Statistics and reporting improvements are nearing completion and our Courses and Lessons applications are progressing nicely.

Only thing is, you don't have badges on the app icon, even though they are enabled?

Would it be possible to have a notification in mobile safari telling folks they can save the site to their home screen for a better user experience? I think most folks won't know that they can save the page to their home screen to have an app experience.
Example like what a real app does.

I did get an email a few weeks back about Apple now updating their push notifications so was hoping this would be implemented here soon. Many thanks for getting this sorted as it should help most sites here with their engagement 🙂
Hopefully I can ask a relatively quick and simple question whilst we're here - does the notification automatically remove itself from the tray once clicked on, like all other push notifications for other stuff on mobiles? Reason I ask is because I notice the Android ones always stay on devices but not sure if thats down to software here or maybe browser specific e.g. Chrome?

I can't deny I'm gutted but it isn't the only thing here that looks like it will take a while for enhancements. Hopefully speak nearer the time its up for some updates 👍

Noticed when you change the resolution size of the browser this happens. The words seem to fill the header when they shouldn't be there:

However, its clearly more critical on mobile as it looks even worse on mobile as I can't do anything to change it:

Deprecation Tracker: This will give a bit more information and any actions or advice from us regarding the change. Topic: To allow for a place to ask your questions, we will share in a topic. AdminCP notification: This will appear as a banner in your AdminCP. We recommend that you follow these areas in Our Community so you are notified of changes. There are new announcements and removals in the March release so check those out.

Our March release is out and ready for your community. As you know, we recommend that you keep your community up to date each month to keep it running smoothly and so you can enjoy the latest updates.

The solution is to find another provider.  There is a lot of competition in this space.

You could create a feature request for IPS about showing the rating value with Pages database records. That’s more of a core function.
