Appreciate the response! Will look into that plugin that you posted but what concerns me the most is the backend. This is what I mean https://prnt.sc/sofrek. By default it shows the username, but if they provided their first name and lastname during checkout then it will switch it to that instead.
Main issue is that I want our moderators to view support tickets but not view their real name.
Ill see if I can reach out to someone to make a custom plugin for something like this.

There is no built-in switch for this.
Could you provide a screenshot showing the exact areas where you see the first/last name?

My feeling is this would likely be doable via a custom plugin. Possibly a switch that can be added to this group of admin restrictions:

For the front end support module, this plugin would make it so the customer sees their display name instead of their first/last aka their "customer name":
Change Commerce cm_name to name.xml

Log out of the ACP and back in again.
I had this and found out from support that the message does not clear unless you log out and back in. I wasted a lot of time on it.

Added commerce / subscriptions / downloads files / gallery images will probably add a couple more things before I release it
( Oh and you can set what groups can view each block )

Just to let you all know the introductory price will probably end when this gets updated as I weren't expecting to add so much so soon after the release

There is a border around each box and a seperator inside the box seperating the text from the button ( It is actually exactly the same as when you visit the subscriptions page ), Plus I doubt anyone will be using it at like 200% zoom so the border looks like its 5px wide instead of the 1px it actually is
 

We certainly understand that 🙂I'm almost positive v4 will be maintained for a considerable period of time after v5 is available. That said, we of course need to continue to press forward and modernize the platform, especially in terms of UI and taking advantage of more modern approaches to development. We will of course do everything we can to make it as painless as possible when the time comes.

It's just that I spend so much time dialing in behavior, performance and functionality, the right custom apps, payment gateways, daily work flow and process, plus server settings. It sounds like an actual nightmare to have to start over on this. I can't imagine why I would want to do that???
At the very least it would cause me to lose a significant amount of sales and frustrate my users. For what benefit? What new "must have" feature is so important that I want to go through that again?
I will never forget how hard it was going from 3 to 4 and if I never have to do that again in my entire life it will still be too soon.
Do you see where I am coming from here?

you use normal version of google analytics. Could you please add new option GTM? This will be better solution than standard GA.

Setting aside the fact that only 2 people have responded to this topic (one of which was you, the original poster) - improvements and consolidation of code/consistency for custom fields features is something that has been discussed internally, more than once, but there is no current timeframe we can say to expect to see it.
Unfortunately, it's simply not feasible to respond to every single topic to say "we've read this but there's nothing to note or add at this time".

Highlighting this as a pressing issue for us still too. Surprised to see someone else encountering the same difficulties as we, but at least this shows there is a demand for this change.

When enabling IN_DEV, its important the correct boolean method is used.
e.g., in my case:
define('IN_DEV',  1);   = nuked css
define('IN_DEV', TRUE); = works fine

There is no need to tag anyone really as we all read this feedback section regularly.  From what I understand the changes needed for font awesome 5 are pretty large, too large to hold up 4.3, which is already in the stages of internal testing.

Yes, I agree fully. The commerce expansion has not been forgotten.
But it is going to be the largest expansion pack of them all as there is much more than what has already been listed for it to be a complete package.
First I need to get out a much smaller expansion to cover the core IPS downloads app, and then I will start on the ECA's for the commerce app.
And at some point in between all of this, I need to get some documentation written on how other developers can include their own ECA's in their apps using rules extensions in the developer center. My goal and hope is that all apps will be customizable with rules at some point.
