Have just bought this app and installed as directed, have added my TMDB api key and set it to a specific forum, but it doesn't work.  What am I doing wrong?

And this appears in the forum:

Clicking on Threadstarter icon does nothing and there are no fields showing.

I'm using IPS 4.3.6

Any help would be appreciated

changes:

  • some design improvements
  • added loading message while obtaining data
  • boxes now show smaller icons on mobile devices
  • fixed some issues with non-English letters in search results

notes:

  • some design changes are only visible after editing existing topics and reattaching the data
  • if you use more than one ThreadStarter plugin you should update all of them at the same time

Is there a way to darken the text or put the content in it's own box or themes that may be like mine?

The text is light and the background is transparent on my theme so the movie description content isn't visible much of the time. I've attached an image.

The product itself is working great though.

Any ideas or recommendations? I have the same issue with the music version of this too.

Also if the database doesn't have their image on file, the image comes across as broken when retrieved. Not sure about the music one yet, but the movie one for sure is doing this.

You can use the following custom CSS under

ACP > Customization > Themes > Edit Email and CSS > CSS

.threadStarterContainer:not(.ipsWidget_inner) {
	background-color: #fff !important;
}

This will also apply to all other ThreadStarter plugins.

Looks much better! The movie one seems to work great now on all themes.

The description is the only thing left on the music one as you can see from the images from 2 different themes.

I'm not sure if that only happens on longer descriptions since the movie descriptions were short and didn't give that same effect. But as you can tell music one the description is filled in with color and it overpowers the text.

* Update. Regardless of text amount its still doing this.

.threadStarterMoreContainer {
  background-color: #fff !important;
}

.threadStarterMore:before {
    background: linear-gradient(transparent 100px, #fff) !important;
    background-image: linear-gradient(transparent 100px, #fff)) !important;
}

You can use this CSS to adjust the color.

Hi there,

With the Widget - is there any way to get it in one sub-directory as when used as a block it is listing in all sub-directories. I.e:

/Edinburgh Forum

  • News
  • Events
  • Meetup Groups
  • Movies & Films
    • Film Discussion

There is a setting in the Widget-Settings to limit the visibility to forums with ThreadStarter topics.

I have all of your thread starters, would be great if that could be moved up.

At the top of the payment better, because a lot of people do not see it at the bottom of the page.

It's possible to pick if the ThreadStarter menu is above or below the editor in the version I just uploaded.
If you have multiple ThreadStarter plugins you should update them all.
