Downloaded this today, and for some reason, I keep getting an error saying my BOT doesn't have the correct permissions, when it has every permission possible. I can see the chatroom that people are able to join in the dropdown, but when connecting get the error...

That's the error I am getting. Any ideas?

    Hey ImpartialGeek!

I sent you a response on Discord. I'm happy to look into this for you and help you get everything set up properly whenever you're next available!

It looks like something is just misconfigured somewhere and it should be easy enough to fix once I'm able to get a look at your current configuration.

Okay, I have this now on my site, but it only allows GUESTS. It won't recognize me or my discord login. I only have the option to "Join" and then this creates a guest account. Is this how it is supposed to work? I was hoping people who already had logins to be able to use those. Thanks!

Yes, Discord Sign-in/account integration is currently a feature being worked on, but at the moment it's just guest based.

Experimental SSO (IPS integration) support might be added in the future for self-hosted instances as well.

You can do this already. There doesn’t need to be specific support. You can edit the intro text setting to state what the current month’s theme is.

Fair enough, but then it would change when previewing previous months winners and such too, no?

  4. I like this concept. Could be very useful for photography forums.

I'd love to see support for having custom "themes" every month, instead of just a generic "Photo of the Month" every month.

Like, for photography communities there are often monthly competitions for nightscape photography, pets, portraits, astrophotography, and so on.

Might be a bit time consuming to implement but if it strikes your interest I think this would be a great addition.

    Version 12.1 (14607.1.40.1.4)

    I still get the problem

I'll see what I can do, but unfortunately there's no way at the moment that I can test for compatibility on Safari 12.1 since it is completely closed off to the public and there are no ideal free solutions for testing websites against this version of Safari out there.

  6. Ah, so it seems to be a Safari specific issue.

Unfortunately Apple discontinued support for Safari on Windows nearly a decade ago, so testing will be a bit difficult, but I'll see what I can do to reproduce the issue and apply a fix for Safari's rendering engine.

  7. Hey @sonimik1!

Is this a public install by chance, and if so, can you provide me with a link where I can see the issue?

(If you need to send me a PM for this, that's fine!)

If not, please provide me with the following information:

    • Are you using the basic or advanced tag editor for these?
    • Are you using a custom theme on this installation?
    • Which version of IPS are you using?
    • What browser(s) are you seeing this issue in?

Greetings does the current version have or plan to have - similarly ability to perform bulk actions --- many times when I am consolidating multiple forums into one - I will first tag all the content where it came from and then move content in to the new forum (should for some reason we'd want to split out content again i could based on tags.)

    Hey @Ocean West!

This release focuses on implementing support for Node / Category settings among other things. Unfortunately, multimod / bulk actions didn't make it into this release, but that is planned for the next release.

  9. It's finally here!

The first official major release of the application!

This implements full support for Node/Category settings. Everything that was available in Advanced Tags and Prefixes has been re-implemented here with various tweaks and improvements.

Namely, support for custom "Prefix" language strings, a cleaner tag themed input for prefixes, and the redundant "Select prefix" option will no longer display if you are using a required prefix list (which was an issue I mentioned above with ATP in modern releases).

This release also adds formatting support for regular tags as well, no longer just prefixes!

Lastly, I've done some major refactoring to just about everything and rebuilt a lot of classes with performance in-mind for very large communities.

Thank you all for your patience and let me know if you run into any issues with the application! I hope to add many more features over the coming weeks as well, so suggestions/feedback is always welcome!

  10. I've got most everything taken care of and the next major release should be available by the end of today!

    https://dev.taiga.sh/ips/radical-tags/milestones/2

Got everything completed just before the deadline, now just a few minor language issues and other things to tweak that were identified during production tests 🙂

Once that's done everything should be ready.

This update includes many major changes to the application, but should still remain safely upgradable from the current beta version.

  11. Another small update,

I got another feature idea from a comment another user made to me that will also hopefully be added in the next release.

A "prefix" can be used to describe many things. For a gaming discussion forum, it might be the platform a game is on, as an example. If you are requiring members select from designated prefixes, you probably are using them to describe something specific.

So instead of just having the Prefix field displayed like this,

    cC1cY5y.png

I plan to add a forum/category based option that lets you customize the language string used in place of "Prefix", so in the screenshot above you could change it to "Platform" as mentioned above, or any other thing that makes sense for you.

  12. To provide a quick update, I've got most of the forum/category setting features implemented, and will be adding a script allowing you to import your existing configurations over from Advanced Tags and Prefixes as well.

In addition, I'm reworking the application a bit so that instead of it providing custom formatting exclusively for prefixes, you can optionally add custom formatting to regular tags as well (so if you want color coded tags to display in the normal tag list, you'll be able to do that now!)

Firstly, well done, it's great to see an app that can be a replacement to Ryan's.

I wondering though, if this is ready yet for my use case. My community gives support to some certain games and rather than having a heap of forums, we use prefixes to mark which game the topic is related to. These game prefixes are only available in certain appropriate forums and not all. Only 1 prefix can be selected and you can't make your own prefixes or choose any other tag to be a prefix. I can achieve this with Ryan's, though not perfect, I had replace "Prefix" with "Game" in your above screenshot (the ability to name this label would be a bonus) and a few other things.

I see you mentioned you would prefer not having two forms, I'm not sure what idea's you have here are, but selecting the prefix aside from entering custom tags is important in my case at least.

Does this app have to features to achieve this yet?

    Thanks!

    Hey Cyrem!

    Thank you for the feedback!

As the features you mentioned have not yet been implemented in the current version of this application, I would probably recommend holding off (unless you just want to take advantage of the current discounted price, of-course!)

I appreciate your insight on how you're currently using the Advanced Tags and Prefixes application and will reconsider my approach to this. I'll work towards providing an implementation that is workable for everyone.
