Mark H got a reaction from SeNioR- in 2FA - Can't access Admin CP - Google authenticator
Please see our guide, here:
and the variable "DISABLE_MFA". (Make certain you reenable this when done.)
That should get you into the ACP, and from there, allow you to upgrade.

That error means that mod_security is not disabled. Please engage your server provider to assist in either getting it disabled entirely (preferred), or determining which rules of mod_sec are being triggered, and whitelist those specific rules.

OK, that explains it. Somehow you do have a copy of Pages installed, but it is now out of date.
The solution is to now upload the entire set of new files (not just the ./cms/ folder) with a fresh download from the Client Area making sure all files transfer without error.
Then visit the upgrade URL for your site (domain.com/admin/upgrade/) and complete the upgrade. That should resolve the problem, but if it does not please lease let us know.

Mark H reacted to NAWAC in Forum WYSIWYG Editor, problem modifying links
This one resolved the issue. Since I'm on a shared hosting environment, Hostgator had to do it for me, but they did disable the specific mod_security rule causing the problem and now it's resolved.
Thanks for the help!

Ahhh I see now. I had to actually go back and do this myself. Once the block is defined, back at the main block selection screen in the drop down is an option for external embed.
I learned something new today! Thank you very much!

That's correct, the Pages application is required for external embedding.

Mark H got a reaction from SeNioR- in How to disable access to /store/?
Google usually doesn't honor robots.txt exclusions like those, but you can disallow those directories in..... hmm... either your Analytics or Webmaster Tools interface (I forget which one has that feature).

Ah, yeah, that sort of slipped by me, apologies for that...
You somehow have two accounts with the same display name. As my colleague noted, the display name must be unique (as must be the email address).
It's possible the 3rd-party SSO was the indirect cause of this, but you need to change one of those account's display names to something unique, in both the ACP and the Wordpress admin panel. (From what you've said so far, I suspect you'll be changing the "Member" account and not the "Founder" account.)
Once that has been changed so there is only one account with that display name (John Hatcher), check to see if the problem still happens, and let us know if it does.

Mark H got a reaction from SeNioR- in Dark mode inheratance for the main theme
The default Theme can be recreated by going to the ACP -> Customization, Themes page and clicking the "Create new" button in upper right. Give it a name, no parent, make it the default for the front end if desired, and save. That will be a default unmodified instance of our Theme.

Mark H reacted to The Old Man in Statistics Users Overview Feedback & Charts Widget
Nice touch, Team IPS!
I'm not sure when it was added to the Stats section, perhaps I've just never noticed it before, but in Stats > Users Overview it shows us some nicely presented stats on some custom profile fields we have set up, effectively community meta data that would otherwise be hidden. True if you configured it, you can do a search for members with specific custom fields, but it's just a list of members.
My custom fields are nothing high value but maybe a year or so ago just for fun I'd added a birth zodiac sign field to members profiles, so not everyone in the last 20 years would have used it, but the report instantly shows the highest and lowest number of members with particular birth signs.
Also as my community is primarily about a particular short lived TV series, I have a field set up much longer ago where people can select their favourite of the 3 seasons, if they have any. I also have custom profile fields (select form fields) for favourite episodes, characters, directors, writers, etc but for some reason only these 2 show on the Users Overview page.
It used to be that this was really just individual data seen when looking at a members profile, but the User Overview in AdminCP sheds some light and perspective on the data, and without needing Google to do it!
So yes, thanks Team IPS for adding this, it's a nice, innovative touch.
In terms of feedback suggestions, it would be nice to have:
A quick toggle to switch chart type, say a donut or pie chart. New Stats Chart widget block - I'd love to be able to show these 2 charts on the front end, so perhaps a Stats Chart block that you could add like the other widget blocks, Further you could also add multiple charts to a dedicated page created via Pages. Add a Custom Fields section to the Users section with all the custom profile fields and more display and filter options.

Just want to publicly say "thank you" to Marc for hand-holding me through some recent administrative transitions on our forum. The process took about three weeks overall, and Marc was extremely helpful and patient with my steep learning curve and frequent (sometimes banal) questions.
Thank you Marc, you rock! 👍 🤩
