I have been meaning to post this for a couple of years now.
Can we stop the ability to embed Twitter account feeds? Normally you would post the url of a Tweet and it embeds. However if you post the url of a Twitter user's account, it will embed a litany of their posts. This is far from ideal. At the very least, please create an ACP setting to turn this functionality off while still embedding individual Tweets. I don't want my users to have this ability and it just creates clutter in my opinion. Not to mention it continually updates.

I don't see this as an "upgrade". Having advertising on the software I've paid several hundreds of dollars for  not including the 6 month renewal fee it is a huge turn off.
If IPS would like to promote their hosting service that's fine, however a persistent nag whenever I'm on the ACP is egregious. Why not send me an email with an offer? Or perhaps maybe a discount since I've been such a loyal customer for over 11 years?

The issue: when someone let’s a subscription (product subscription or regular subscription) expire, they will later not be able to buy it again, because the invoice on file prevents a new subscription. But the existing subscription also cannot be renewed because the invoice has expired. This can only be solved by intervention from an admin (manually finding and deleting these invoices), but there might be hundreds of those and it would require a constant monitoring of expired invoices. 
The solution: The check that prevents a new subscription with an invoice on file should be removed or adjusted. Someone who doesn’t have a subscription anymore, because subscription and invoice have expired, must be treated like anyone who never had a subscription. Both groups should see exactly the same offers because their status in relation to these subscriptions is the same. 
Why it matters: People run into this problem all the time and it’s not just an inconvenience, it it costing them money, because people who would want to pay cannot pay and probably just give up. Here are just a few examples from the recent days (and I have observed this and commented on it for years): 
Subscription buttons don't show up. (yesterday)
Subscriptions Bug (yesterday)
invoice has expired but member cannot renew (7 days ago)
The development time to fix this is probably much cheaper than having IPS support deal with this issue for years, constantly identifying the issue and guiding people through the process of the possible work-arounds. So it would be a win-win situation to finally fix this. 😉 

You can log in as the member in question from the ACP, go to his notification settings, and at the bottom of the page, select: "Stop all email notifications".
I wish this option also existed in the ACP, so logging in as the member wasn't necessary.

Hello,
If it is selected, it will honor the forum setting to increment post count. If it is DISABLED, then it will override the forums configuration to increment post count. I mean, even if FORUM1 is set to increment content count but you NOT selected POSTS in the plugin settings, then it won't increase member content count at all in topics/posts

@Adriano Faria Happy new year. If I select posts to increment, does it respect individual forums where I have selected not to increment post count?

Hi,
Today I found out that writing a new PM or replying to one also triggers the "comment/reply is posted" rule.
I don't want to reward members for PMs in the background. I just want to reward them for posting topics and replies.
How can I exclude PMs from this rule? No PN option is being shown when using the location filter.

I don't know how much it differs from the way I have things set up, but basically, for a while, not sure if by defect or by design, members were able to buy different subscription packages at the same time (of course nobody did that as the only difference in my packages is the amount of time between them, so no point having two subscriptions running simultaneously). However, this had the advantage that, if they wanted to buy a different subscription, once the previous expired, they could, so they could switch from 1 month to 3 months, or 6 months or 1 year, and any way around too. Even for the same duration, if one subscription renewal had expired, they just got a new one.
However, after some upgrade, I can't recall if from 4.4 to 4.5 (though I think that was for me, despite IPS saying the above functionality was never the case for the 4 series, but as I said for me it was, whether it was intended or not, and it suited me fine).
But, after that upgrade, I noticed what you say, which apparently, it's the way it should work by design now. That does not suit me, so I asked @DawPi to create a plugin for me to revert things as they were before. So, you may want to discuss it with him, if you are open to using a third party plugin.

This file is not effected by the SEO changes, in case anyone is wondering.

I've been through that before and I lost my emojis due to those doing the server migration for me being careless. They generated a manual backup of the database, and unfortunately Mysql dump default is UTF8 and not utf8mb4, which is what's needed for Emojis to work.
If you haven't done anything, and this happened maybe the server connection collation has been changed somehow. In that case you may be able to revert it to utf8mb4 in the general settings of your database.

Failing that maybe you have a backup that the server automatically generated when this setting was correct. But even in that case it depends on how much new content has been added since, so it may be a tough choice between old emojis and latest content. In my case I only realised about the broken emojis 3 months later, so I basically didn't have a choice.
Regardless, you want that set above to utf8mb4_unicode_ci for new emojis.
It could be some other reason behind the problem, but what you say sounds very familiar to me.

Thanks for that. Yes, it's odd, but you gave me an idea, and that's selecting at least one subforum. In that case, it works correctly. The problem is when I don't have Forums selected at all as an app to be used with this plugin.
I will test it a bit further tomorrow, but for the time being I'll use that workaround. I can select a forum where I never upload photos, so that leaves the rest of the forum without the watermark, which is what I want.

Ah okay, but what I had in mind was these messages happening automatically with the promotions. Basically the way one old application for IPB 3 used to work. You could select a different message depending on the new user group the member is automatically moved to, and the system would trigger the message letting he or she know.
In any case, I've just bought it, because I can give it some use the way it works right now anyway.

You can change the message anytime you move a member to a different group. Say for example, you want to move a member to a V.I.P group, you enter your custom message and then you move members to that group. If you want to move a member to a different group, you change the pm message again and so on. Please let me know if you will have any additional questions.

IThat is alreasy possible. You can enter whatever text you wish at the pm message body at the app 's settings page.

After a search it looks like current activity in hover card was removed in 4.6, A members requested in suggestion forum to improve or put it back but as with most options that are removed by invision the feature was not reintroduced.
Looks like yet another plugin or code edit to put something back again 😉

We have considered this and we would only make it so the member could request it, but not actually do it. There'd need to be a cooling off period, etc. Easy in the heat of the moment to delete everything and then ask for backups the next day.
