PPlanet reacted to Adriano Faria in Contact Us
You were right. There was an issue.
Fixed in a version tested by @PPlanet. If anyone else needs the fix before the marketplace approval queue time, just send a message; FTP is required to upload a file.

PPlanet reacted to AlexJ in Auto delete Albums with zero image after 3 months
Some users create empty Albums and never upload any pics. it would be nice to have an option to delete Albums without any images after xx days or months. Thanks

Only the author can answer that question, but yes it should do. The issue is that its not compatible with PHP 8

PPlanet reacted to Stuart Silvester in Emoji error - don't work
This has been fixed in 4.7.6, StackPath is apparently not continuing the free CDN for OSS projects (such as Twitter Emoji). We've switched it over to a different CDN (JSDelivr).

PPlanet reacted to opentype in New year’s resolution: Make the Marketplace great again
I’m not judging in any way, just listing some observations about the developer/Marketplace situation in the recent years.
4.5 tightened the rules drastically. Result: several developers left for good. price increases. Developments needs a self-hosted installation and possibly a demo website. It’s now 850 + 300 annually. Someone starting out as developer really needs some killer products to earn that back and then generate profits. Cloud testing of resources would make it even more expensive (+1,788 annually). Shift/changes to cloud. The lower tiers don’t have the ability to install third-party products. This decreases the reach and makes running independent third-party shops less useful/profitable. Signatures turned off. No possibility for passive advertisement through community posts. Limited compatibility field. Sales can only be created for one version, limiting the income. I have no magical solutions to offer, but are improvements for this something we could put on the table for 2023?
Currently, I am not very optimistic. We only have a handful of active developers left with continued announcements of departures. If it is still working well for some (?), it’s probably because of a large set of files and existing customers with renewals. But I can’t see how new developers would want to get involved in the current situation, replacing the ones who left or even growing the marketplace.
I understand the costs and downsides for IPS. Paying for code reviews, chargeback fees and of course all the support issues with third-party resources. But then again: Looking at the broader field of online software: all the big players strive with and in part because of a flourishing third-party marketplace. So, improvement could easily be a “win-win-win” situation for IPS, developers and IPS customers.
(I would have some suggestions myself but I don’t want to push the topic in a specific direction, so I am leaving it at the problem statement for now.)

PPlanet reacted to Chris027 in Images in Quotes Not Showing
Yeah, it would be rare for something to remain unchanged for 4 years. Since it has been disabled, all it good.

Just disabled Cloudflare’s Mirage setting, we’ll see if it helps. The setting has been enabled for 4 years without issue.

Yes, it means "This user is not awaiting validation".

PPlanet reacted to opentype in Discord with a new Forum module! Is this the end of the forums?
The video made me laugh. How they have to explain the advantage of the traditional system (forums) over what they are actually known for. Just like when ride share companies “innovate” by going back to a bus.

PPlanet got a reaction from OptimusBain in Fluid View Streams
When creating a stream (particularly an admin-made stream), it would be great if you could select all subforums inside a category and/or inside a parent forum, just by ticking a box "Select all inside". This would work really well in sites like mine with lots and lots of subforums of course (where I cannot tick all one by one to include them in a stream).
I know that now you can do that with the forums fluid view basically, but good part of my membership base don't want the fluid view of forum topics, IF it also means losing the browsing down path through the individual folders or subforums they are used to. So, having streams achieving something similar would be great because you can put links to them wherever you want without losing access to some branches of the site's tree-like structure.

PPlanet reacted to kmk in Combined Fluid View missing go to
Thanks for the Combined Fluid View implemented.
When I click on the main forum (itself contains others subforums), it show all topics from their sub categories. That is fine.
When I click on New Topic it show me al sub categories. That is fine.
Now I just want to go a specific subforum, then I discovered there should be available a subcategories Drawer to be clicked.
Please consider add a drawer to wrap subcategories, give user facility to click on it and Go To specific forum.

PPlanet reacted to David.. in Creating New Stream with only Topics
It’s fine, I thought the same too.
I think it was doable before but now it seems to no longer be the case.

PPlanet reacted to Fosters in Bookmarks - Support Topic
It’s a tricky situation when there’s more than one template hook changing the same position. I’ll see what Incan do.

PPlanet reacted to Nathan Explosion in Feedback about the new search bar
My only issue with the search box is that you look at it...it looks lovely...it entices you to type something in. So you think about what to type...what to search for...then you move your mouse, you type something, you hit return....and then you notice that the filter has appeared just after you moved your mouse into the field, and then you realised you have wasted a few seconds of time.
This before I hover:

Insert the row back into the table then delete the member from ACP.
The row you insert needs to have the same member_id of the row you deleted, the other columns can be a copy of a similar member.

PPlanet reacted to Randy Calvert in Help with cleaning up deleted member
If you deleted it from the database manually that is most likely the problem. There are other references smattered in various tables that were never cleaned up.
Shame shame shame. Lol.
