Creating a new activity stream is great, but is there a reason why topics and posts are combined into one?

I cannot seem to create a new stream with just new topics for example. It's always showing recent posts made in topics too.

If you create a new stream like this, I think it's what you want:

Have you tried that? Selecting the topics option also includes posts.

Hmm, I thought that for that you had to select Content Items, comments and reviews, as opposite to Content Items only, but I very well be wrong about it. Apologies in that case.

It’s fine, I thought the same too.

I think it was doable before but now it seems to no longer be the case.

If chosing "content item only" it will show each item only once, but it will be the latest response you see. Is that what you are seeing?

I guess, but selecting “Topics” should only show topics, don’t you think?

It is only showing the topic, and just under is a preview of the latest reply on that topic

In my case, it arranges topics by recent activity, posts. It doesn’t arrange topics by start date.

So with that, it seems like it’s arranging by posts rather than topics.

That is correct. It would arrange based on newest or oldest activity within that topic.

Then really it should be labeled as posts, not as topics, right?

It is organized by topic, not per post. However, we're beyond our support capacity really for this issue. If you wish to change the existing functionality, please feel free to post in our Feature Suggestion forum for further evaluation.
