Luuuk reacted to Randy Calvert in [This site] Account Settings warning
It looks like IPS has just recently upgraded their site to the beta version. My guess is there is a bug they're gunna have to work out if emails from the community to you are actually delivering. 😄

It's something being tested by IPS. For cloud customers, they're introducing bounce management. If emails sent from a cloud community bounce to a member, it will disable emails being sent to them and the user will be prompted to update their email address.

vs.
My e-mail (custom domain) is 100% working. I even got an IPS notification using the very e-mail that I just logged from a "new device". That's why I do not understand why it is detected and why I should change it here...

Hi,
Today I got the following:
It leads me to the e-mail settings (changing the working e-mail). Why I get the notification?

Hi,
You can use one of the following plugins:

Luuuk got a reaction from tmcom in How do l make a section of my forum private?
You are checking a wrong place (global forums settings). I refer to the forums listing:
Each forum is configured separately:
Note that Categories do not have the option and you need to expand them and check normal (Sub)forums.

Luuuk got a reaction from Marc Stridgen in How to open a support ticket ?
Now support starts here on the Invision forum as a form of a topic (like your topic here). Then if necessary (eg. a sensitive data needs to be provided) a Staff member can move your request to a ticket communicated via e-mail.

ACP > Community > Forums > select Edit next to a specific forum > Forum Settings > Users can see topics posted by other users?
Then go back to the forums listing and select Permisssions from the dropdown menu. Set for all groups:
See Forum Read Own Topics Post New Topics Reply To Topics ACP > Members > Moderators / Administrators > if set to "Restricted" under Forums tab enable Can view all topics/questions?

Luuuk reacted to PatrickRQ in [ACP] Design Flaw - Quote in Dark Mode
Hello IPS,
In Dark Mode the quote looks a bit wrong. Happens for long time, always forgetting to report. Quote Panel color could be better in Dark Mode + text could be visible at all 🙂

Luuuk got a reaction from Thomas Hop in Can't upload images only as attachments.
Hi,
This is by design and how it should be. You always will see an attached image as "image inside post" without any visual division known from ancient IPB 3.x.
Note also there is a difference in an image position. When you upload an image as attachment and do nothing else the image is always at the bottom. You can see this if your post will contain some text before attaching. Then if you place a cursor in a different position (eg. at the beginning of your post above the potential text) and use the "Insert" option located on the image attachment then the image is placed in that exact position.

Luuuk got a reaction from Meddysong in Changing the default color for text
I will add one more thing. I went to your forum linked in your profile and my rule added temporarily via browser's inspector works fine. But note that in some topics like this one not all text is changed to red:
That is because that specific part of the text has been either repasted from other source (preserving different color definition) or manually "colored" by the poster. Those can't be changed via CSS, the only "solution" is to edit the post to remove extra colors.
To prevent colors being copied you can configure "Paste as Plain text".

Um, nope.
I am pretty sure that it was released in April 2015, as a soft release and officially released about 2 months later.

Hi,
But is the device a Samsung? If so than in this topic they say it helps to disable Samsung keyboard > More typing options > Enhanced accuracy:

Try this in custom.css:
div[data-role="commentContent"] { color: #FF0000; } [Replace red with your choice]

Luuuk reacted to Afrodude in Dark mode for the IPS documentation and guidance pages
@The Old Man I created my own CSS for the IPS website years ago because I find it easier to read and navigate.
@Matt When it comes to copying and pasting content from same website or another, there is a problem that all Light/Dark theme sites experience. The problem is that it replicates some CSS along with the text, which changes how other people see the content on themes.
Example:
<span style="background-color:#ffffff; color:#7f8c8d; font-size:12px; text-align:start">The features discussed in this announcement are available in both Invision Community and Invision Community Classic.</span> We had discussed some solutions in here.
Just hoping that you folks will address this problem with CKeditor 5 in IPS version 5.

Luuuk got a reaction from Vakarian96 in cke Remove Text-Background Color
@Vakarian96
Unfortunately there is no way to do that (unless you will use Firefox *). I even created a feature request topic:
* Firefox unlike Chromium based does not copy the background. But that is obviously limited only to you but not your members.

Luuuk reacted to Stuart Silvester in Direct SVG embedding limitations?
I wouldn't expect so, we don't have any plans right now to allow SVG upload on the front-end. If there was complete control over the hosting environment (which there isn't with the classic option) it wouldn't be so much of a security risk.

Luuuk reacted to Marc Stridgen in Direct SVG embedding limitations?
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

Luuuk got a reaction from SeNioR- in Direct SVG embedding limitations?
Just to add, opening SVGs in a text editor shows that those which are automatically embedded have width + height specified:
<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="256" height="256"> ... </svg> <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="720" height="720" viewBox="0 0 190.5 190.5" xmlns:v="https://vecta.io/nano"> ... </svg> The problematic ones do not have such specs:
<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 256 256">...</svg> If I edit a sample SVG by adding such values embedding works.
