Was wondering if sub-forums (or categories) was still on your roadmap? As you know there are several of us who would really love this.
    Thanks.

    That's what I said:
Mess to me, isn't a mess to you... and vice-versa. 👍
    I'll add in next version.

I use Stratagem for Project Management and its pretty darn strong for an app.  Been very happy with it and they are always developing/improving it.

I would be happy to see a 4.6 compatible version without any new functionality and an update incorporating new ideas down the road. That seems to be the approach other developers are taking.
Stratagem might fill the bill for you.

Hello @Adriano Faria Everything installed nicely on the latest version IPB and Links, however it is not grabbing the image from the site via Miniature.io, so I selected "Rebuild Thumbnails" in the Tools menu and got the following error message.

I totally agree with if you are a member of a club and that club has a blog and the leader allows a member to add to the blog then it should be allowed.  Its weird that a member of a club is so limited and there is no way currently to give them any permissions to do anything.  So really a member is a guest.  On an open club whats the difference of a member and a guest?  They both don't have permissions to do crap in a club.
Anyhow..  please make it possible for the leader of a club to allow members to have permission to add to a blog.  Its suppose to be a community after all.

I know the blog application is probably the least used of all applications, but I'm not asking a whole rework; only what the Galley application already has or does for clubs.
For what I have seen, right now, only club leaders or users with moderator permissions in clubs can write in a blog inside a club. This is the most restrictive permission possible. This is also the case, even for public clubs and it means that the blog application ignores the type of club and has the same permissions.
Galleries in clubs have the option to decide who can post images in that gallery: the owner, any club member or anybody.
I think blogs should have the same options enabled. so that members of the club could post blog entries if the club leader agrees.

Edit to add..  Oh! 😪 only an admin can add a picture cover in a club blog. 🤷🏼‍♂️    and blog cover pictures can't be added while creating the blog. First you create the blog, then you add the cover. This explains why most of my community blogs have no cover at all.

I appreciate it.  Let me reach out.  Would be cool if you sold this app.  I'm sure it would sell more now a days than ever before.  It seems its pretty big demand for podcasting a vlogging and it doesn't seem very difficult.  Biggest piece is to have a decent player on the site (which you already have) and the ability to store files and then RSS feeds for playlists.  So close...  🙂. Thanks again, I'll reach out Joey_M

I have asked @Adriano Faria to make a podcast manager, there's a lot of room for communities to deliver a podcast straight to their audience and it's a very popular feature for sites to have. I think once things get into a position whereby there's an app for this, it will fit the needs of quite a few on here.

Currently running a Wordpress site for our podcast that creates the rss feed for iTunes to pick up. The actual mp3's are hosting through a podcasting host so I won't be changing that. What I would like to find out if IPB can be capable to take over for the rss feed creation for podcasts? If not I would just keep the Wordpress and have IPB be the community aspect. Eventually I'm wanting to have everything under IPB and have different podcast shows set up as clubs within IPB.

DJ ZAh got a reaction from DamonT in How do we get the Invision Community Theme?
The default theme is so limited and none of the developer themes appear to offer anything close (that I could tell) to what you have on your site which is what sold me on Invision Community for appearance.
Are we able to get the theme that Invision uses which is way more capable?

Thanks, a very very long time member of Invision Community

It seems simple but it doesn't exist currently.
When I highlight text and click the link button it would be great if you had the choices
Open in same window (default) Open in new tab Open in new window This would be great for those articles that reference other posts or articles (possibly on other sites).  You don't want your users to leave, you just want them to possibly look somewhere else for reference purposes.

Any update on this? It would be a lot more cost effective for us to store files on GCP rather than S3.

I’m not sure everyone would want to hide the stuff you want to hide. But if you need it, it’s like two lines of code in your custom.css.
    @media print { #ipsLayout_sidebar { display:none; } #ipsLayout_header {display:none; } }

DJ ZAh reacted to capei in "Print" or "Printer-Friendly" Feature
I did notice the CSS that someone posted to hopefully accomplish something cleaner for a print-preview and I may very well consider using it. Nonetheless, a dedicated button to generate a stripped-down version of the content so that it is printer-friendly still has every reason to still be a feature. Being able to jerry-rig CSS to offer a feature in itself is an inconvenience to myself as a customer. IPS has time to add in seemingly-meaningless features such as a "days won" to the software, yet not a simple print preview? [A feature that was already in-place in previous versions of the software, nonetheless.] This seems to be one of those features that could have easily just been part of the software itself, far moreso than some "days won" feature that I'm certain a large majority of users don't care for.
Case in point, if one were to open https://Typography.Guru site (one of your sites, according to your signature) in Firefox, and select the Print Preview option in the browser, one would find that nearly 12 pages would print with blank content. Clearly, the built-in print function in this case would still result in a sub-optimal result, wasting nearly 12 sheets of paper if it were printed. At the very least, a button to strip the CSS that would work globally regardless of theme, would easily rid of such issues.
Sure, it is easy for an experienced user to find a way to prevent wasting of nearly 12 sheets of paper to print the homepage on your site, but every user will not always be experienced and might very-well be angered if they were to print a page on a site (such as yours), and end up with so much wasted paper.

We are going to add additional storage options as S3 can be mind blowing for some, but have not landed on any specifically. We're certainly open to suggestions and will consider Google.

DJ ZAh got a reaction from Guru Samrat in Club Stores/Commerce (FEATURE REQUEST/IMPROVEMENT)
It would be great if all the club owners could host there own store with there own payment options and own delivery etc..
    EXAMPLE:
let's say I have a website for farmers to sell produce (focusing on the local farmer) and each club is actually a farm and in each club/farm they would be able to post there own products, delivery options, payment options.
Then based on the features clubs already provides (showing farms nearest you), you could possibly find farms that might offer local pickup or delivery.
Seems so easy in my head but I know this is probably very complicated and not realistic.
My thought behind clubs is to allow someone to start a club and basically host there own site on your website.  So why not offer store/commerce options also.
