    This is great news.
The people who REALLY will want this will be the club creators themselves. ;-)
Any idea on how to make this info available to them?

I think its one of the features more geared towards enterprises - these are the clients that have stats and charts as priority. The average forum owner and his audience will use it mainly for amusement.

It would be great if the members in the selection could be put on validation and do not get any email notifications until they change their password. This would automatically stop flood of mails to the users that are no more active and/or do not have a valid e-mail addresses.

Unsplash is good too. We might create an API for that if there's enough traction.

Thanks for pouring some sugar on 4.5 @Matt !

I recently started using Unsplash, they have some stunning photos.

They also have a modern API:

Your existing attachment limits will already apply. 🙂 At the end of the day, these images are nothing fancier than attachments, just with a nice UI to submit.

It is a custom plugin that extends default RSS output. The plugin adds enclosure-tag to RSS output. If it is a database record, gallery image or post with image, it uses the embedded image. In case there no image can be found for the item, it looks in the media folder we have created via ACP. The folder contains about 100 random images. So the plugin picks randomly one of the images and add it to enclosure tag. No magic

We already use a semi-automatic solution to add random images to RSS output items, that do not have any image. Right now we have saved about 100 images that match the general subject of the project like "gardening". When RSS output is created AND no image can be provided for the item, then a random image from those 100 is picked. If there were a possibility to combine this feature with improved RSS we could replace our "rich RSS" plugin entirely.

Great feature. I would like to have a feature photo function for forum threads, similar to that in blogs.

    Hi Claudia,
I think they look at the editor from the perspective that most end users (your members) will never need or take the time to use correct tag formatting especially from an SEO aspect. It's different and more important for you as an admin or site owner, or contributor. Users often abuse things like bold button which drives me nuts (making their entire post bold!). However you can add plugins to the CKEditor Toolbars and assign permissions as will if you like. I use this plugin for article content and it works fine:

    https://ckeditor.com/cke4/addon/format
This one that offers font selection may be available already I can't remember, I think we normally just have font size:

    https://ckeditor.com/cke4/addon/font

I do not like Chrome solutions. I am already forced to change Chrome language every time I switch between German, Russian or English projects to get date/time fields and timezone displayed correctly. Chrome has made the life of bilingual really difficult. Switching between dark and light would be additional pain. I wish there were cookies that would just remember on what website I make what settings and will not change it every time trying to guess what is the best for me. These guesses fail most of the time.

We could have even more privacy if we would have categories for clubs. E. g. by setting permission to category of who can view it and clubs inside the category.

That's the 'old' referrals system that was part of Commerce.
I can't say for sure what (if any) referral rates we'll be running, but with the UI changes in 4.5, once we upgrade you will be able to see the details clearly on that page. You can add (manually) the referral tag to any URL on the front of your community.

Yes, this. I wasn't addressing any one person (and in fact @Tripp★ I wasn't addressing your comment at all), just speaking generally. I've noticed a lot of people replying to our blog entries lately with all of their wonderful ideas, and I just don't want all of those suggestions to be lost and forgotten.

Yes, with mapbox. But its used in clubs, I dunno if somewhere else 🙂 Thank you. Our clubs are getting better and better.
And one more. There is an option in clubs config:
    Show Club Content Areas
    Throughout the community
Users will see content areas from Clubs they can view in the applications throughout the community, alongside regular content.

Which is very good, and we want to use it, to show our clubs on mainpage... but we have few hundreds of them, so it destroys main page. Maybe an option to cut it to some bumer (last 9 for example by activity).

Out of topic but Invision in my opinion should focus a bit more on scaling as forums are getting bigger and bigger every day...
Hope to get native support for cloud providers that are bandwidth partners with Cloudflare:
    https://www.cloudflare.com/bandwidth-alliance/
For example we can use Wasabi as it is compatible with S3 but i would love to get native support for Backblaze for example....
So forums can benefit from huge amount of storage for very low price and free transfer from the Cloud storage to Cloudflare and then back to users....
    Thank you

Thanks for this, yes I think we've asked for RSS Import into Pages with proper image handling since IPContent was probably released! It's great to see it finally arrive. Nice.
Combined with services like Zapier and Feedly, there must be a lot of great possibilities aside from importing news feeds.

The only thing I can see is that Gallery is missing out on the integration party, it would be a nice workaround for the lack of a backend bulk import tool and you could combine Image RSS feeds with Gallery in some good ways, such as selective Flickr or DeviantArt, featured background wallpaper site feeds etc. Once they are in Gallery or Pages it would be nice to be able to feed them into the IPS Carousel/Slider.
