You just pull the location details from your own tables in the getLocations() method in the extension.

See how Calendar events and Clubs are added. Can't you do the same with Links?

Hi,
This is the same app. I've just taken over the rights to it from @stoo2000.
It should be upgradable from IPB3, but it's not something I've tested in a while. You should test it as part of your test upgrades. There's information on how to do it in the included PDF documentation.

You're amazing, thank you so much. Long time in Wordpress, new to IPS and there are a lot of places to control permissions of different things.
Thank you!

Where does this show up? A marker will show as a "post", as it is a content item, just like a post, calendar event, downloads file, etc.
Yes. You can create multiple categories for your markers.
It's done like that because the number in the <span> is updated dynamically when the map is drawn.

That “wave” shows where it’s day and where it’s night. ;-)

Register a free account. After you've verified your email address and logged in, you go to "Manage Keys". Not sure if you create a key during the registration process, or not. If you did not click the button to create a new one. Then click the only item on the list to expand it. The key you want to copy to the Member Map settings is the one labeled "Consumer Key".
Ask them if they can check the Javascript console in the browser. If the page is blank it's because an error was thrown.

1.0.16 has an issue indeed, that’s why .1 was released.

Problem solved with upgrade to .1! I should have tried this from the beginning, it was crystal clear explained in the release notes.
Sorry to have spoilt your time and many thanks for your help, you're really great guys!!

Disable all plugins to see if the problem goes away. Then you have to enable them one by one to see what’s causing it.

That was weird. I'm sure I did upload the new file, but I might have forgotten to update the version number. All good now.

I totally agree with the light hearted humour there.
Would having a "Last updated" time stamp in there be useful at all? My thinking on this is that the last updated time stamp would be the last time the number of seconds was updated; if the number of seconds exceeds the time stamp (after putting in a margin of error of say 10 seconds or something) then it won't record. That way when a first ten minutes is added on with the time stamp, the next ten minutes can't be possible because the time stamp says it was last updated a second ago. Or is that not possible?

Member Map
View File IPS 4.4 ONLY
For IPS 4.3, use version 3.5.7
Member Map is an application that allows your users to put their (Exact or approx) location onto an interactive map. Member Map has a permission model so you can limit which groups can add to the map.
As an administrator you have the ability to create custom groups where your community (when allowed) can place other markers in the map, for example if they would like to post the location of an upcoming meet, exhibits, shops, etc.
For developers
If you are a developer and you store location data in your app that you'd like to show on the map, you can now do so creating a membermap/Mapmarkers extension. Instruction on how to use it is included in the auto-generated file.

It's the server IP, not the one from the user, as the request is routed through the server.
