It seems a simple HTML block. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Have you tested?

Sadly, I have not.  I will give it a try.  I didn't know pages could do that.

I tried a Custom Block with Manual HTML.

Guess I'll need to wait until I upgrade to get help from support.

I was using this plugin and determined that I apparently don't even use it, and the Pages blocks are just fine for me, so I've disabled it. Nothing has changed about my site so far.

This is a Pages error. Submit a support ticket.

That's not native to the forum though, which it should be.

Why would one need to purchase a pages app in order to have the ability to add a custom block on a forum?

Because that’s how IPS did it. Feel free to post as a feedback. They did it before when they removed the Menu Manager from Pages and added to the Core.

Since this isn't being updated, is anyone using something else besides pages? This is a great plugin but looks like will be flagged with the latest updates. Any paid plugins worth checking out to use custom html in blocks? I'm also specifically using this to place ads.

I'm using a slightly updated (but still very old) variant of the widget re-done by @WP V0RT3X. Recently I asked if the plugin will remain operational on 4.7.x and I'm still waiting for a definitive confirmation:

This one is free and and it's 4.7 compatible. It may or may not be useful to you.
