When I create a topic, I can post a YouTube video with no issues. But when I attempt to add a "Reply" to the same topic I get the "403 Forbidden" error. I have tried turning mod_security off, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

When users get their registration emails, the link goes to a page that never finishes loading and generates a MYSQL error. Likewise, when I attempt to manually approve new users, I get the 'LOADING' message at the bottom, and after approx a minute, the same 'TEMPORARY ERROR, MYSQL WENT AWAY' . so somehow, MYSQL appears to time out. So far everything else works, just not the new user registration / approval / verification. Any ideas?

I set my email address as alternative contact for a license which is not run under my main account. It correctly found my username and added it as alternative contact: But when I try to use the Marketplace on that installation I still get: What am I doing wrong?

So I purchased a new server and have been moving everything over. I have a test installation on another domain seperate from the main community. I haven't upgraded it in a long time, but I attempted it today and the upgrade stalled with the following message... I am worried about moving my live community to the new server and then encountering the same issue, so I am looking for advice on how to resolve this ahead of time. I've had upgrades break my community more than we like lately.

In my Uploads directory, I noticed that almost all of the subdirectories have permission, 777. I used the constants for for files and folder in the constants.php file, but the directories stayed the same. In the help guides, it says that files/folders that Invision Community needs to write to should be set at 777. Is there a requirement to have those directories set to 777? Or can I change them to 775?

Weird situation. I setup two topics today, which initially presented correctly but are both now showing entire content duplication sequentially (i.e. posts entire topic and comments and then posts entire topic and comments again). Please PM me to review, I'll provide the links. I also created similar topics in the same forum today and they seem to display correctly. Breadcrumbs show something like: Home > Forums > Subforum A > Subforum B > Topic Name + Subforum A > Subforum B > Topic Name Tried to clear out cache but issue remains.

We're hosted on AWS with load balancing. We started getting hit with DDoS earlier today and our site would go down for a couple minutes while it scaled up another instance. This stopped working at a point though and we're just getting hit with 502 and 504. We scaled down to one instance and rebooted, came up for a minute and the site worked, then it went back to 502's and 504's. The admin cp stays up for longer (although running slow) but the frontend starts blowing errors very quick. We've tried clearing cache but to no avail... Our team member who set all this AWS stuff up left us abruptly so we are flying blind and down on our busiest day of the month :…

Hello, I’m trying to upgrade my community to the latest version and after uploading the files, this is the error I’m seeing in my Admin CP: We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now.syntax error, unexpected '->' (T_OBJECT_OPERATOR)You can try again by clicking the button below, or try again later. I believe it has to do with the PHP version, but when I switch the server to PHP 8, the site won’t load at all. Any ideas on how to fix this and proceed with the upgrade?

Hi there, My issue is similar to the post, However after reading that post and the guide above as recommended by Mark, I'm still confused if I need to take any action? Below is the email I got from Amazon. I am running the latest version of Invision Community v4.7.12. I upgraded recently from an earlier version which required updating to PHP Version 8. So I'm thinking perhaps the older API call was due to running an older version of the software? Do I need to take any action to maintain access to the AWS cloud storage bucket?

Excluding the "make primary image" button, I am trying to figure out how InvisionCommunity assigns the order of product images. It used to be by upload date/time, but now it appears random. I tried uploading four photos( all are different sizes) named 1,2,3,4, and the order is shown correctly. However, once saving the product, the order gets changed to 4,3,2,1. Hello, I've created a new product that is charged every 3 months. I chose price 1 as the initial price, initial terms every 3 months and the same price and period for 3 months. However, the payment page does not reflect the renewal term as you can see in the attachment at #4. The renewal price only shows "taxes not included". The price is not displayed 😞 If I check "Same as chosen renewal period option", the renewal text is not displayed, and people have asked me a LOT in the past. They don't know and some don't understand that /3 months means every 3 months. It's VERY unclear. How can I display a message like... 179.00 …

Hi, I cannot save any template (even system one) that contain a <script> tag in the Invision Board admin panel of www.mpcforum.pl. Every such attempt results in "The template could not be saved" message box. Removing <script></script> tags allows to save template but disallows to use javascript code inside webpage. Mod security is not installed on our serwer as it is driven by nginx. Anyone know how to solve this issue? Regards, Marcin Załęczny

Hi everyone, I just made a test installation and when I try to log in to the AdminCP, I get the following message: Your account has been locked. Try again in 14 minutes. I’m 100% sure I’m entering my login details correctly. But even after 14 minutes, same message. In fact, it doesn’t change at all and always says “14 minutes” no matter how much time passed. Any help would be appreciated!

I updated IPS to the latest version recently and authorization is now completely broken both at frontend and backend. On the frontend it returns "Something went wrong. Please try again" message and on the backend it's "2S119/1 Something went wrong. Please try again". Is there any solution for this?

I'm running into an issue with PayPal subscriptions... In IPS PayPal subs do not appear to be getting cancelled completely. Something isn't quite working.... User shows sub canceled, PayPal shows sub canceled, but IPS thinks that it's still active and will not let members upgrade/downgrade. In this example; I have a member that wants to upgrade to a higher tier. So they cancel the existing subscription via the link Subscription page shows cancelled: PayPal shows as cancelled as well: However, IPS still thinks they have an active subscription and will not let the user upgrade to a new higher tier. Although the login is successful, the members see a page with a red "something went wrong". By refreshing the page, and in extreme cases by going to the homepage, everything starts working again. The error log is replete with: RE: Array ( [error] => httpServerError [error_description] => Invalid grant: authorization code has expired ) Grant authorization time is 30 seconds. It would be impossible for the grant to have expired during login (3-4 seconds max). The date/time on the machine is 100% accurate. Please advise. With kind regards, Michel

Hi experts I just installed Invision Community successful on my own server and configured already multiple things. Now I wanted to install a free translation pack but I am always seeing the message "Sorry, you aren't permitted to download this file" when I surf the marketplace here. Does this have something to do because I also still have a demo account running? I also tried directly from ACP of course. When I click the button "Sign in to Marketplace" a new window pops up which asks me what account I would like to use. I'm noticing something strange but only because a member nudged me to let me know their subscription had expired. There should be an invoice automatically generated, as all our subscriptions don't have an end date. But there is no invoice been generated?? Am I missing something completely obvious or do we have a bug here?? I just need to know if I need to do something at all on a regular basis now as I'm worried that other regular ones will just stop but not because anyone has stopped them. Thanks in advance
