Back in the day - used to access the site through filezilla and upload items, etc. Recently picked up some more forums for a project and I can't remember what the host would be? And would I login with my own account information for the user/pass? I know this is a very newbie question, but figured the community would try and help out. I appreciate y'all.

Hello, Previously before the update when we clicked on the topik titles in the topic feed section, the most recent comment was visible first. Now the starting comment (the oldest one) of the relevant topic is visible first after the click that is really unconfortable. Could it be possible to restore the previous solution?

I use Invision to power the website for our Minecraft server. We have a separate server store with CraftingStore. I was wondering if there was a way for me to integrate our store with Invision so that if someone buys a rank from our store, the store would communicate with Invision and move them into the new proper user group.

Hello, The forum I help administer is a private, members-only installation. Nothing should be visible to persons not logged in, and so far that's all working perfectly. I cannot find any settings to disable search engine robots from crawling our members-only content. I'm not seeing that content when I google the names of forum threads, but I'm not sure that means it's not being indexed somehow anyway. Question: how can I disable search engine indexing for everything except the login page?

Hi all, I currently have Infolinks integration on my IPS community. I added their code snippet to my analytics code, which applies it to all members of the site. However, I am looking to eliminate Infolinks ads for a certain member group. It looks like I can do this by adding the Infolinks as an advertisement and limiting that to certain groups. However, right now it's set up in an ad location currently shared with my Adsense ads on rotation. I don't want it to rotate, but, I want it to apply all the time. Hello, I would like to do the following: Set up a new forum where members can post anonymously to ask questions; Allow replies (answers), where the replies are not anonymous; and Restrict anonymous posts to only this forum. Essentially I'm trying to set up a way for people to anonymously ask questions of more experienced forum members, but also encourage high quality responses by identifying whose responds. I don't believe this is built in to the base Invision Community software. Am I wrong? If not, is there a plugin I can adapt to do this? Thanks!

Hello guys, I would like to know if anyone can help me with this. I was previously using a 4.4x version available on the internet for testing purposes, however during these tests I had a lot of access in our community, I would like to know what is the best option to migrate the list of members to the new structure. I tried to delete all core_members and send the core_members from the previous version to MySQL however I noticed that the structure is quite different. Is there any other way to migrate these members?

Hi, can someone please explain me a few things? 1) How does one wins the day? is it by getting more reputation from reaction? or does the content count also contributes to this? 2) Is reputation gained only by reaction or are there other ways to gain reputation? 3) Is the top member section in the leaderboard monthly or all time ? if it's all time is possible to change it to monthly? 4) I see two things in the leaderboard, one most posts and one most contents... for contents it seems everything accounts to it like topics, replies etc.. but wt I'm not sure is posts. Can you please tell me the difference between content and posts? Thanks.

So here's the story: We are setting up a few premium membership subscription plans but a big chunk of out traffic are people who will visit the site one time or a few times during a certain time period and will probably won't return afterwards at all or at least for a long time. We've already set-up two automatically renewing subscriptions, and an open-amount donation. What we want to do are two things: 1. make a "one time pass" that will last a set amount of time and once the it's up it won't renew and revoke the privilege it gave (no ads). So as you can tell from the WTF headline, this issue/question is quite hard to summarize in a few words. So that also means a search is useless. Thing is this: Say that in your community of many many forums, you have one that's restricted for posting only for manually approved users. A user opens a thread in a public forum where he and everybody else can post. However, said post is more suitable for the restricted forum. So obviously the thread's moved there. On our old platform (VB) the user retained posting rights ONLY for their thread.
