Hi everybody, I want to optimize my sitemap settings including the robots.txt file. Now here is the situation. My IPB is in a subfolder of my domain hanspeterkruesi.com/members - the main domain has 3 static pages ( like landing pages ) which lead to the departments of the IPB. Now the question is - do I have to mention those 3 static pages in the robots.txt file or I just create 2 sitemaps. The one which is generated automaticly by the IPB + on which takes the static pages + hanspeterkruesi.com/members into the list ? Thanks for your help in forward.

According to the info online (https://invisioncommunity.com/faq/), "Clients with a Standard or enterprise license can request full backups any time. We'll provide you with a download link within one business day." Is a Creator license included under "Standard"? I cannot find that stated anywhere.

We're getting ready to sync accounts from our current site into our new IPS community. My server tech thinks he's just about got everything set. When this happens, we're also going to be adding a profile field to show below each members post count. This field will be a link to their collection dashboard on our site (outside of IPS). My server tech thinks he can insert the links for all members, if we can find where the data is stored, so I'm hoping someone can help with that. Currently, I've got the field added as seen below. Hello, I have been up self-hosted for a long time, and it is intensive for me to maintain the server and hire experts to solve the complex issue. For example- Now I am experiencing slowness in my Community (6 seconds entering a topic!), and I need to figure out why. I would like to understand if moving to the cloud, business, and tech-wise, would benefit me. What are the advantages and disadvantages, and how painful will the migration be? Thanks!

As most know, Google Domains is shutting down, which leaves those using them needing to find a new register. As a cloud customer, is there anything I should know before transferring my domain out? I am trying to avoid downtime or any other issues that may pop up. Thanks.

So excited here, because we are working to replace a very basic forum and profile system on our current website with our new IPS community. The server guy already has the oAuth set up, and we're working now to configure things before integrating accounts, because we're going to keep our current registration set-up. But we want to use the IPS profiles rather than the current ones. Right now, we have a button in part of the site that takes users to a member's current "profile". Hello. I need to allow a Content Provider (CP) access to a specific area of the forum, where CP has special privileges. So, CP group created, privileges set, works fine. However, if I want to optionally allow some individuals within the CP group member access also, set as secondary group, he inherits CP group special privileges for all member accessible regions. How do I make it so that special (non-member) privileges are exclusive to the forum areas I defined, when I add a secondary group? Any help appreciated

Hi, I know that there are plans to depreciate this system. I wondered if there were any updates on when this is likely to happen and any new guidance on the best replacement? We are heavily reliant on this feature as our members use it to get private, confidential support from our support mentors and removal is likely to cause a lot of distress and issues for our members who need it. We're hoping to find a solution that fully integrates and doesn't require our members to create another account on another app. Any guidance would be hugely appreciated! Thanks, Liam

When resizing an image, the "Keep original aspect ratio" is sometimes deselected, sometimes selected, I can't figure out any kind of Logic in its status. I always want to keep the original aspect ratio when resizing (I'm not sure if anyone ever needs to change the aspect ratio when resizing an image in Invision??) - is there a way to remove that option or have it consistently selected by default?

Working on establishing a feedback system in our new community. I've added the "Rating" field in the Profile Fields, but that looks like only moderators or admin can apply a one-time rating, is that correct? I'd like to have a star rating option on each Member Profile, or an option to include a star rating in a post in a certain board. We're putting in a "Feedback" board, where each active member will have a thread titled with their name. Other members will be able to post replies to that thread with feedback for the member. Is there an option to have a star rating attached to the thread? Sort of like a poll or something, but being a rating?

I'm trying to understand how the calendar view (events) works in Clubs. I create a calendar in a club. The default seems to be by 'month and all I see are this club's events - so far so good'. If you look at the four views at the top, near the Create Event button, as you can see, the month one is selected - so far this makes sense. Reminder, I only see club events, that's great. If you click on any of the other three views, either the overview, the week or the day views, you now get the events from the board calendars, not just the club events. ⁉️ Doesn't make sense...Shouldn't all the views, if I am in a Club calendar, show the club's events excl…

This the end-of-life of IPB 4 in 2025/26, will you -force- customers that have a hosted site to upgrade? You have deprecated Commerce Physical product, and I would much prefer to continue using IPB V4 rather than having to split my offering to my customers into 2 sites, one for non-physical products + forums and a second one with Shopify and the likes. Yikes!

I'm reading through the help guides and forum posts about Profile Fields. Wondering if there is an option to have a drop-down list of countries for the location field? It's important in our community that members fill in their country of abode, but when this is just a typing field it ends up with odd things filled in sometimes. A drop-down list makes it clean and simple, which is why I'm asking. Thanks!!

I just received notification (the bell-notification at the site) that (minutes earlier) a post from a new member needed approving. However, the post is from nearly 60 hours earlier. Does anyone understand why this might be the case? Actually, it is even weirder than this. I now see that the member only joined only half an hour ago, and obviously posted their introductory shortly thereafter. But the post appears further up in the thread, with several (days-old) posts in the interim. Any ideas?

Howdy folks, just for the heck of it I went ahead and scanned my community for trackers just to see what others may be seeing. I know about the PIWIK tracker, I use Matomo Analytics formerly called PIWIK so I understand that. I used this website for scanning: https://termly.io/ In my screen shots Bulgaria is seen, is that where "termly" is located. And the High Rick trackers is worrisome, the Unclassified ones are strange, specially the History.store, what the heck is that? Thanks for any help in deciphering these.

Hi, The problem is that Registration Terms & Rules do not show up for users imported from the file, when they first log in / set a password. Of course, the option "Force members to accept the new registration terms" is enabled. I'm a pretty new user, so maybe the solution is simple, but I don't know it 🙂

This is my first time working with the blogs and articles in IPS, and I'm reading through the help guides and working in the AdminCP. We are setting up an area for a certain member to publish articles/entries periodically. This could look like a blog or a series of articles or posts, so I'm open to the options. He's not very tech-savvy, and he likes to work on his articles for awhile before publishing them. Hello Everyone. I'd like to create some pages, but I'd like for these pages to be manageable by individual or specific group of users without giving them full access. I want to create the primary page, but give them the ability to add blocks, images, and manage that specific page. Is there anything out there that would allow this? I recently renewed my self-hosted license, but considering the future with your cloud service, I am considering switching to the cloud. I am building a new community so transferring data over should be simple (mostly a few threads and settings). My biggest question is, can you transfer what I paid last Friday towards a hosting plan? I aim to start with your beginner tier and scale up when necessary. For now, I only need the basics, as my focus over the next year will be content only to build up the value of the community.
