The default for syntax highlighting when adding a code block with the editor is HTML. I would like to change the default to "No Syntax Highlighting" but there doesn't seem to be an editor setting for this. How can I make this change?

Club owners are asking, how do you market us? Any ideas on the best way to market members clubs? One idea I have is to have a forum where club owners can create posts for marketing. We then manually add their marketing to our newsletter. I would have to manually do it because I would want only club owners/leaders to have access to that forum (how do I do that by the way?). I could just have the forum accessible to all members but I would not want it gunked up with a bunch of random stuff. I wish there was a way to automatically "promote" to our picks, new clubs. Is there?

We just (finally!) upgraded from IPB 3x to 4.2.8, and now I can't find the menu to Prune/Move topics in our forums. Where do I find this now? Our forum aggregates a wide range of news articles into general categories, serving a relatively small local audience. We purge any topics that don't receive any comments every few days (or sooner), so that our members can quickly and easily find active discussion topics, so pruning is VERY important to us. Help?

Hi, I'm trying to set up our forum and feeling confused with some of our settings, and this is after looking at the various guides. Currently we have the smallest plan that only gives 5GB space which doesn't sound like much - so how do people work out what to put for settings that use up this space like attachments, albums, galleries, profile pictures etc I've turned off some of these features but want members to be able to at least have the profile pictures and cover photos - is anyone able to give some input on how to work out what to put for these? Thanks for any help - it's much appreciated (and needed)

When I visit a members page, I can see all their activity. the posts/topics they make, etc. Can I make it so when you visit a members page, you can ONLY see their status updates and comments that users made to their page? If so, how do I go about doing that?

Hi I want to run a simple contest where winners over a 1 month time frame receive account credit. 1st = $50 2nd = $25 3rd = $10 Winners are ranked based on reputation over time frame (not overall reputation.) What is the best way to do this? Better yet, HOW can I do this? Thank you 🙂

Hi, I will developing my site on localhost using MAMP then transfer to live site. I know how to transfer the Db and IPS install folder to live site. Eg. when developing wordpress site on localhost, then move it to live site I have to use a wordpress plugins to search and replace web links then reset permalink and so fort. Will I need to do similar process when transferring from localhost to live site? Can someone point me to info regarding moving IPS from localhost to live site? Thanks

Hi everyone, Quick question. I have this option set for a member group: It is working correctly and I notice emails are automatically sent out to me (I have added myself as an "Unrestricted" Moderator) My question is, who actually gets these emails? Do they get sent to ALL moderators based on their email adddresses in their accounts? I thought it was from this setting: But it does not appear to be the case, the email is being addressed to my account profile email address. Any help and clarification would greatly be appreciated.

Hi all, basically what I am trying to do is putting a simple form (input field) on a page (example: https://www.mydomain.com/community/index.php?/my-page/) After submitting the form a php script (that I put in a block and place it on the same page) should check the submitted fields and put them into a database. My only issue now is that I don't know HOW to submit the form because after submitting I get a white page. Can you tell me how to use forms on pages the right way? What is the correct URL for the action="" parameter?

New to IPS.. What's the best way to get parent_id when landing on a specific forum (+ sub-forums and it's topics) using global_template? Basically, I'm hard coding a menu item and I want to set it active when browsing within it's pages. I know I can hardcode the forumids but some categories just have too many sub-forums. Thanks.
