Banned members can still leave comments?

I have a banned group on my forum but since upgrading to 2.2 users can leave comments on peoples profiles, even though they are banned. Anyone else seeing this?

1. CSS file. Is there a significant reason that there are multiple css files? I don't mind that you have a separate css_rts.css file for the RTE-post-topic stuff, but the text color for the rte popup menu (for the custom bbcodes, e.g. Insert Spoiler, Insert Codebox, etc.) should be in there as well. As it stands now, part of the text colors are in jscripts/folder_rte_files/rte_popup.css and module_bbcodeloader.php. That makes those colors global, rather than skin-specific. I'm not sure what your thinking was on that, but I'd prefer those colors to be part of the skin css. 2. Include bfarber's Links mod as part of the core download (with a toggle on/toggle off functional…

Well, so far it's had it's ups & downs. I love all the features & it was like getting onto a rocket after driving in a go kart for 10 years, the IF to IPB switch felt great :D HOWEVER! When I tried to install an image set, it wouldn't let me, so I tried another one, same thing. Please help me on this :)

[SUGGESTION] -- MASTER MASTER template

Sound weird but just be quiet and read. :devil: . I already know IPB has a "master" skin template (skin-id--1) but if something goes wrong with that, all sub skins of that get the defect and get "mishappen" (as one of my boards did a couple of minutes ago). What I mean by master master template is: A master template for the forums (ours) master template. If possible our template would inheriet (if wanted) from this template (MM). Why would this be "good"? It may prevent/be somewhat of a safeguard against mishappend boards (when the master template goes arway). This would 'right it' and so all the forum skins look correct, and get the right apperance.

I know you can make an Announcement and it will appear at the top of what ever sections you want. What I would like is to be able to make an Announcement that would pop up in a window right as a user logs in. Have it set up to where the user would have to check a "Read" box and close it for it to not pop up again for that user. This way you would know everyone saw it and "read" it. Kind of like the user agreements when you load software. Many people just use the "new posts" function and never see Announcements. Also, I use the IPB for some organization that require some Announcement to be seen by everyone. With the check box in play no one could say they did not read…

How difficult would it be to add a permission to allow specific member groups to see anonymous members in the online user list? I've seen a couple mods for this for 2.1, but I don't see why this isn't an option in the stock forum package.

I just bought the new forums, and am happy with it. But not fully, I'm installing it, and on the part where it installs templates, that installation goes blank. Why is this? install/index.php?p=install&sub=templates <-- This is the part where it goes blank. I need to fix this ASAP, thanks. P.S. Why can't I submit a ticket, when I click submit the page goes back to the main index???

Why is it that the chief designer (who'd I'd expect {with having that title} being the main founder of IPB), Matt being English doesn't affect the development of IPB? For example, the website for IP is in American spelling and the price list is in American US Dollars ($). Is it because most of IPB's buyers are from there?

We're still getting hit by a lot of spam on our forums since the upgrade to IPB 2.2. Unfortunately, we can't turn on the Advanced CAPTCHA, as for some reason, it fails to load in the time allowed. We've got user email validation on, but it seems that isn't enough. We decided we wanted to make a group that was only used until the member made their first post. That group would have their one post approved by a moderator before being shown, and then they could go on and post as a normal member after that. I had always thought that you could force a group to have their posts moderated, but it seems you can't. Would be cool to see something like this made possible next tim…

Hi guys 1) If I had a license say for instance from last september and runs out next september, do I then: a) pay $149 to renew the license or b) start paying $25 then and for every 6 months onwards 2) If I decided in the meantime to upgrade from 21.7 to 2.2 would I have to pay more?

I've had a ticket open about this since the 10th (6 days ago) but no reply from management yet. Are modders allowed to base their installers off the IPB installer code (With full credit and acknowledgement of course)? Lots of mods (Including some at IPSBeyond) do this however I'm wondering if IPS allow it? Thanks,
