Working4computers
Just make sure you have a backup of your database before you start upgrading..... :) just in case
Mark
DeLeTeBR, if I am understanding you correctly (you are using the encoded version, yes?) then there is nothing 'special' about the database you are using.Simply uploading the files in the full version (overwriting the encoded files) will 'upgrade' you. There is no need to make any edits to the database. However, you may wish to email sales@invisionpower.com just to be sure ;)Have a nice day
DeLeTeBR
Professor P:I have the last free version released by Invision ("Invision Power Board 2.0.0 Trial"), it's not the one with encrypted code, my question is quite simple:- "There is - in v2.2.0 - a tool/script/mambojambo to upgrade my forum to 2.2.0 so I will not loose my actual data ?" Cybertimber2009
In an 'upgrade' no data is removed. However some data is conveted to make it run faster. You will require a new licence in order to update to 2.2. If you feel that you cannot perform the update and worry about data loss, you get free updates with Invision Power (aka they do it for you)No data is lost
Mark
I'm sorry, I read your post wrong. I thought you meant the encoded version of 2.2.0.Yes, there is an upgrade tool, if you do purchase a license, IPS will upgrade it for you for free, however.
