I have a banned group on my forum but since upgrading to 2.2 users can leave comments on peoples profiles, even though they are banned.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yeah, everything is disallowed however there is no actual option to disallow posting comments...

It is possible by disabling the Banned group viewing profiles. Although this is a bit unclear so maybe in the usergroup options we could have:

Allowed to comment in profiles? Yes/No

When I checked the permissions, viewing profiles was already disabled.

How can they comment if they cannot access the profile though?

Let me check this out now and i'll see if I can produce the same results as you.

Yeah, if they can't access a profile then there is no way that they would be able to comment upon it.

Thats the theory... but this guy has been banned since the 16th and is still able to post on comments.

We tested our self and banned someone...then they tried to post comments and got denied. Ive got no idea how hes doing it...... but its defiantly happening and hes is defiantly banned.

I blocked access to profiles to my test group, then used a test account in the test group, and I could not access the profile, thus stopping me from commenting.

Check the Banned Usergroup settings then, and check that he is in no secondary usergroups.
