IPS Beyond

When I log on to IPS beyond, a forum appears saying the I have an expired license. It also indicates that if I am a new member, it could take 24 hours for our company to be recognized. I bought a full license on thursday. It is now Sunday. Can anyone help?

My board got hijacked!

Not sure if I'm posting this question in the right place, but I srsly need some help. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated. My free board has been hijacked twice this week. At the time of the hacking, I didn't have my admin cp opened. I have no idea what to do. It appears that the hijackers were able to get in and banned all members, including myself, the other admin and all mods, like the first time they did it. what should I do? Thanks in advance!

payment delay time...

It's getting really close, but after sending in a payment, it said something about "to protect from fraud" and saying that the payment will go through in 24 hours. I don't have to wait longer since it's a weekend do it? Is it only business days because it's been close to 24 hours and I still have the pending invoice for my IPB board.

Tutorial Videos

I just played one of the tutorial videos (upgrading IPB) and have some comments on them: Firstly it seemed a little odd going to a non IPS url, then the video itself didn't seem official or professional as there was a messy desktop and the users computer username was something like killer. The text at the bottom was a little small - would be nice if it was a little bigger, and easier to read. Now my main gripe with it is piracy / software license violation. When the user goes to extract the archive they are instructed that their trial of winzip has expired and that winzip is not free software. The words Pot, Kettle and Black spring to mind :P

Unread messages in PM system

I don't like the fact that the new PM counter resets to 0 even when there are unread messages after going to the Inbox and then another page on the board. It's one of the most illogical and STUPID things about IPB, :angry: why make it work this way? Not everyone reads all their PMs after visiting their Inbox. Why do IPB have to the ONLY one that works this way? Many members have missed PMs cause of this, myself included. <_<

It'd be nice to have an automated message at the end of a thread that is X days old. vB shows this at the bottom of old topics: Old Thread Warning This thead is more than 396 days old. It is very likely that it does not need any further discussion and thus bumping it serves no purpose. If you still feel it is necessary to make a new reply, you can do so by ticking the box below. Alternatively, you can search for newer threads that contain the same topic, or start a new thread (preferred). I am aware that this thread is rather old, but I still want to make a reply. :whistle:

IPS News Letter Format

I just received the new format, and I must say two things. It's a nice change from plain text, but the design is a bit lackluster. I like how the news content is laid out, with the title and display of it, but the side menu should be switched to the top or the bottom (or both! :o ), otherwise a user may have to scroll to the right to just read the sentences in the news. An eye-full of menu, an outdated logo, and scrolling to read make it slightly difficult to show interest. :) Maybe switch the layout to look more like the forum? Logo in the top left, menu below and content underneath? If you dont' want to process changes like that, maybe you'll be happy with just removi…

Subscription system needs to be fixed, overhauled

I really think the subscription system is very much incomplete. There are so many things that just don't work right. I just got this in my PayPal dispute center: How does something like this happen? If the subscriptions are sent to re-occur, can't they cancel the subscription? Wouldn't it NOT automatically expire? My suggestion: Fix it, and many other things. I'm not even sure if what happened is a "bug", thus is why it isn't in the bug tracker.

Problems with reseller

Respected IPS, I am the client of your Russian reseller - ibresource.ru I it paid several months ago license for 1 year; however, after learning about the release of the renovation of safety to IPBoard I I could not obtain access to it in reseller's site - my account it was blocked for the unexplained reasons. The administration of ibresource.ru ignores ANY turnings to it. I consider that a similar blocking without what or explanations is the direct disturbance of relations salesman - client. How with whom I can connect regarding the solution of this of conflict besides reseller itself?

i live the software, but the only thing missing is a good easy to folow reputation system, just where people can add a rep point or decrease one, but they can only do it a setain amount of times to a member or you can use the credit system, like RVB where they use mod points and you can only add or decrease the ammount that you have, and with either one when they add or decrease it, they can leave a comment, and it shows when they member did it to the other member, and theres a log that each member has and thats where all of the comments go, it is a bit complicated, bit sorta simple, and if this software had that, this is the one that i would chose hands down. :thumbsup:
