April 30, 200718 yr But you can still use the quote button within other topics. :) I've just this minute 'quoted' Rikki from a closed topic.... and it worked....
April 30, 200718 yr In that case leave the "Quote" button, and hide the "Reply" button. The "Quote" button isn't useful inside the closed topic unless the "Add Reply" button can be used, and it gets replaced with a "Closed" button. So you can "Quote" from a locked topic and use it in another topic :).

May 1, 200718 yr If you were to take them out, it would leave an empty space to which would look very ugly.
May 1, 200718 yr They are built dynamically. If the reply is removed by the programming quote will be in the location reply once was.
