Seeing as it's so easy to leave people negative feedback when one isn't satisfied with services rendered, I wanted to post here to say THANK YOU to everyone at Invision. I've moved my website back and forth between various webhosting companies, and with various hardware and software I've had a lot of experience with all kinds of technical support. Hello, Since 3.0.x was released quite sometime ago, shouldn't the IP.Converge settings be "Unhidden" by now? They've been hidden ever since it's release, and say when someone, such as me, were to unhide the settings, then go to upgrade, the setting get reinserted in to IPB, as such, showing two different groups. I think the setting group should visible by now, not hidden. Don't you think so....??? Regards, Donald

It would be GREAT to have more recurrence options (a la MS Outlook) where you could select every other Monday or the first Wednesday of the month, etc. MS has a great tool for this in outlook. It would be great to emulate that. Thanks! YOEL

RSS Export on a per-post basis

(Apologies if this is a duplicate. It's not easy to search, seeing as "RSS" has fewer than four letters.) 1. The RSS export feature currently is clearly topic-centric. Each topic has only one entry, and even though there are various options - sorting by topic start or last post, etc - you don't get notified on new replies. Seeing as the whole point of a newsfeed is to notify you when any content is created, there should at least be an option to make a post-based stream. In this stream, the entry titles of topics could be distinguished for example by post number (so it reads "Topic title (#3)", "Topic title (#4)", and the authors and dates displayed would be those of the…

I think it would be a good idea to add some text to the forum rules displayed in the Pre Sales forum indicating that post moderation is in effect (to ensure accurate information is given), as some members (especially new customers making enquiries) may not notice the splash screen indicating this. :) I was initially going to suggest a pinned topic but I think adding it to the existing rules displayed would be more prominent.

for example... I enter something like +16b +sounds +from +another +room, and it returns 4 pages of results, and there is just one topic that satisfies the rule that all words should appear. Every other topic lacks some words required!! i'm totally dissatisfied with ipb search engine, are there any tips or modifications that may help?

Having used recently the RSS Import Option to update info in one of my Forums, I decided I would add another to the same Board, but a Different Forum. Nice try...it seems to have highlighted a problem. We have a bit of an issue here. One way or another there is a bug with way you are currently using the system. First off, the system stores each cached RSS item as unique by its GUID, as per RSS standards. The issue here is that if you have two feeds which ever forum imports the feed first is going to have access to the feed and the other won't. I was told by the developer of this system that it was intended to only support a specific feed once. We discussed this a bit…

Hey, someone sold me his IPB, so I'm logged into the account that he paid for IPB. I changed the email, password, and address settings. Anyways, he told me to go into the client area, then go into "Your Invoices." I did that, and hit "Pay" under the inactive IPB. So after I paid the $25 to renew it, I don't know how I can download the files. Can you help me out? Thanks. :)

Hey all, I've just settled In to IPB 3.0, but after we upgraded we had alot of down time etc so one of our admins made all users had to be approved by the admins. I'm not quiet sure how to disable this, all I want it it to sent a confirmation email etc and done. Could somebody kindly point me somewhere?

Where is the option to let users report a post? Right now, all people, including me (an admin) cannot report any post and we get this error message: [#10136] You do not have permission to report the item you are attempting to report. I can't find anything in the ACP -- can someone tell me the path? Or is this a bug and should be reported in tracker?

Hey Guys, we're running a collectors community and our users would LOVE to have custom profile fields which allow multiple selections. Checkboxes for smaller amounts of data, and <select> thingys with multiple="multiple" for very large amounts of data. PLEAAAAAAASEEEE :) :) Thanks!!

I do not know if this has been discussed, but I would be very glad with a new Social-Component for the IP-Series. With IP.Social Users can start their own social-groups with a private forum, own gallery and blog and profiles/default-sites. A little bit like the group-component in vB, but IP.Better. This would be interesting for sportclubs, schoolclasses etc.

One feature of vBulletin that I like very much is the ability for a member to suppress the signatures of other members via his profile settings, in order to reduce visual clutter and allow display of more posts per screen page. I gather that there was such a modification for IP 2.x.x. I reckon this ought to be a standard feature of IP Board. Are there any mods or plans to make this feature available in 3.x.x?

Hello, I have a few improvement tips for the calendar. I would like the option to have a calendar that shows all the content from every other calendar. Something like "Show all". The second thing is if you are viewing a specific calendar and clicks on "add event", that calendar should already be selected under "Event options/Add to Calendar", the first calendar in the list is selected there by default at the moment. The third thing is, if you edit your calendar event, the previously selected calendar is not selected anymore.. You have to select it again. That is easy to miss. I think having the option to adjust the skin list order would be a nice enhancement. This way ppl who want to keep their skin list in some sort of order can do so w/o having to install them in that order. Would really be useful when adding new skins at later dates as well.
