Hello, I dunno if it's suggested before, but I posted a reply recently which said that it should be approved by a moderator before it's visible. I think adding a notification which tells "Your post/topic has been approved - with a link to the post" will be really useful :) Well, if it needs some heavy coding or it's a resources intensive feature, you can just ignore it. Just wanted to add something to the great notification system :D

It would be nice if secondary user group icons could be displayed with the avatar. I know there is a mod for this but I understand it does not work with 3.1

Hello, It was a really great when the basic ad code integration was introduced. It allowed us to display some ads. I hope this reaches IPS and they will consider these suggestions: - Please enhance ad-code integration by allowing us to (in order of importance): 1. Ability to add multiple banners to one zone (banner rotation) 2. Ability to count banner impressions, clicks and make banners "expire" when it gets showed/clicked on/time expires. I hope I'm being descriptive enough. Rate + if you support the idea :)

Could we have the ability to make custom pages in the next version, I know we have a Custom Pages mod, but it is bloody useless, this is a feature I am sure a lot of people would be glad of. And one we could depend on to work, without losing data, or changing the look of the document you have created when it wants to. This is a feature I am in desperate need for as being a military site, it is like a paperless office, and I need to create custom pages. The way mods are simply not getting upgraded or fixed by some leaves us with a massive void. Either as a standard feature or an application that can be turned on or off. This would ideally appear as the last link on the primary nav bar. I know there's a mod for this but it should be an integrated part of IP board. Thanks.

I think that as a leader in online forums, IPB needs to help protect it's customers from potential copyright infringements created by their members. All operators of forums MUST register an agent with the copyright office http://www.copyright.gov/onlinesp/ to gain full protection under the DMCA. IBP can help with this by creating a setting where owners can link to their copyright agent paperwork on http://www.copyright.gov/onlinesp/ and provide a contact information page for those who own copyrighted material and want to contact you to have it removed. I think a great addition to IP.Subscriptions would be to include the person's username in the email that you receive that someone paid. I think it would just make life easier if something went wrong you can easily figure out who made what payments. And I think another great feature to add would be the ability to do a "20% off sale" (or any percent) and have it show the old price being marked off and show the new price.

From the usage of my site, From my analytics, mobile browser access forms a growing percentage. Market reports bear up the tremendous adoption of 3G data enabled smartphones world wide. The 3.1 mobile skin and iPhone apps were great leap forward. However I am very surprised that 3.2 promised features is totally silent on Mobile. Something that the IPB team may want to consider seriously.

The stated goals for version 3.2 are admirable. I have been critical of the default theme of the forum, and have complained about the difficulty of modifying it to be more clean and muted, so I am glad to see this addressed. I suggest making the new style as minimal and professional as possible, so that it will fit well into a variety of sites. It's easier to add "bling" to a theme than it is to remove it.

1. It would be great if the hours of operation where stated on the phone when you call "after hours" as I'm not sure what the hours of operation are. 2. Well after we had issues with our previous hosts because we hit 500,000 hits in 1 month, they complained up a storm and forced us to move, the great bomb team here at ipb helped us do everything working with us with EVERYTHING from payment to tech, hell the techs dont judge or base anything on you, and treat you with the upmost respect, guys i really am greatful and you've made me feel as if i am apart of the family, thanks for everything hope you all come on by http://www.thehouseofklein.net Jason, Collin, and both marks! love you guys !

My critical site down support ticket for my hosted community remains unanswered 24+ hours later. My standard support ticket remains unanswered 36 hours later. PLEASE, PLEASE hire more support techs for your hosted communities. What you're doing now is not cutting it.

Whilst I love that you guys provide regular updates, uploading the entire set of board files and other apps (and in turn overwriting some custom file edits) can be quite labour intensive. Would it be possible to provide smaller, more focused packet updates that just contain the updated files? I'm sure this will have come up in the past, but I couldn't find a similar recent discussion using the search so just thought I'd bring it up. Maybe it's technically a "no go" with the current framework, but wanted to mention it in case it has any legs? Cheers, Shaun :D

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to upload the converter. One of the instructions states to upload the contents of the Upload folder. However, one of those contents is called Admin and it would overwrite the IPBoard Admin folder. A little bird told me you were going to give the Calendar some lovin', so would you consider adding the option to receive notifications of your Friends birthday's (and board registration anniversaries if they make it in)? For example, I'd love a heads up a week or so before people in my Friends list have a birthday to remind me to send some of the closer ones a card. Secondly, I'd love it if we could have the option to import RSS feed items into our Calendar. It would make keeping the Calendar up to date with the latest TV shows airings a breeze. Hello, I try to setup a group (tutor) that work on help section of my board. Then I setup ACP restrictions and give to this group only access to "Manage Help Files". The problem is that IPB consider now this group as an administrator group. They can now see email on user profiles, show as administrator in leaders page... No way to give a limited access to ACP and preserve the original permission of the group "tutor" (normal member group without special permissions). Thx

I could have missed this and its available but would it be possible for a demo to be set up for registered members thats fully loaded so that we can check settings, features etc. Currently you have to register for a demo which is fine for new customers but not for registered members.

I would love to see the ability to hide app tabs by group added to the core functionality. There is a hook available but it requires editing of files which I can't do because I have a hosted plan with IPS. Here is my argument: While IPB is very powerful it also has one hell of a learning curve. Only Drupal is harder. Or maybe assembly language. (Just kidding) I have content, gallery and nexus installed. I haven't figured out content at all and am completely clueless about nexus. I will learn but I want to make guests and users not see any of those items on the navigation tab until they are functional. I don't want a new user to see the "buy a widget" thing or "E…

Another one communitywide suggestion. People rarely upload files. Really. In most cases they just wand to tell something. But they always must scroll down through attachments section for the post button. This is very simple thing that can ease communication using IP.* software: just put attachments block under textarea in single hided "Attachments and options" block and bring post button much closer to the textarea.

Sphinx search engine supports searching with morphology which is turned off in the IP.Board generated configuration file. Oh yes, it is not a problem to manually edit this file and turn morphology on but IP.Board does not support highlighting polymorphed words, it highlights only the exact word entered in the search form. This produce the situation when user entered some word, Sphinx found one of its forms in the IP.Board content, returned it, forum lists pages with this word but when a user clicks on a search result he doesn't see any words highlighted there. There needs to be a way to automatically notify a member that his PM box is full. Currently, if a members PM box is full and someone tries to send that member a message, it tells the sender that the person can't receive PMs. However, the person with the full box is never notified. It's painful to see dozens of forum posts every day asking members to clean out their PM box so somebody can send them a PM. Please implement a "Messenger Full" notification on the next IP.Board.
