This could be a useful function in the Moderator CP to allow administrators to quickly see how many times a particular visitor has visited the board (especially useful for guests). The IPs are already logged via the hosting account, so the feature would just have to be able to pull and interpret those logs, it wouldn't require any additional space or resources outside of polling the logs.

Just thinking about how useful the 'there have been replies' notice while you are composing a reply to a topic, I wonder if something similar could be added to the messenger. This may be helpful where a large or busy conversation (obviously with several participants) is taking place.

Just upgraded to 3.2.3 and noticed that by default, it shows ALL the emoticons in the style_emoticons directory when the emoticon icon is clicked in an editor. What happened to allowing us to choose which ones are clickable and not shown? :( I don't want to have to go through hundreds to delete. Might also want to enable some of them in the future.

I don't know when it disappeared, but I really wish it'd come back to the front page sidebar. I watch content as a way to easily reference topics (ones I respond to, ones that have similar issues [with or without solutions], etc) and it was very convenient to be able to scroll through my watched content on the front page.

hello I've been struggling to make one of my sub-forums. What im trying to achieve is to Have a moderator of that Sub forum and only that moderator can view topics that go in there and can reply to them and the people who post the topic can only read the topic they made and reply to it and not view other peoples topics within that forum. And so other forum moderators or super moderators can't see it Could you help me please.

It would be nice also having the possiblity saving on our computer the topic with the posts in pdf format. Right now the only possibility is saving/downloading in html format. Is it possibile having this feature?

Hello everyone, I have a suggestion for a new IP.Board addon. I run many communities that could make great use of this, a video addon! People can upload videos, which your server can convert using standard of custom/advanced settings with the use of FFMPEG. Maybe even a custom jQuery/HTML5 video player designed by the IPB team, that can be customized or replaced entirely. You can rate and comment on these videos of course. Add to favorites, send/e-mail to friends (if public access is enabled.) What do you all think?

Please condense "Notification options" as the current system is quite ridiculous. A huge big wall of boxs to tick is extremely off putting to users. There is at least half I don't even use, plus I think some would be better placed elsewhere. What is the point in having 3 rows of boxes to tick for 20+ options? I really hope this whole system/page gets totally rethought because it's currently a mess and very off putting.

Hello, In my opinion there is a big problem with validating accounts in IPB 3.2.3. => It seems like there is a bug : if I validate accounts on the first page, then navigate to other pages and go back to the first page, accounts I've already validated still appear as not validated. Same thing when you delete accounts : I delete a few accounts on page 12, go to page 11, go back to page 12 and the deleted accounts still appear. => I don't notice accounts waiting for email change. => I'm losing a lot of time validating accounts wich can last 20 minutes instead of the 4/5 minutes before. I've talked about it here : http://community.inv...__fromsearch_…

Hi folks, I've just installed IP.SEO 1.5.1 and it looks to be working, except I get the message "No plugins to run for: blog" (and similar for chat, gallery etc) in the Last Run view. Is this anything to worry about? It's created a sitemap okay, although a fairly small one. Regards, Mark

1. Right click inside empty CKEditor box brings up web page context menu instead of text box context menu. 2. On some occasions when editing a post, edit box shows unformatted with all BBBCode brackets, no toolbars are present, "Use Full Editor" button doesn't work (nothing happens when clicked on) and clicking on "Save changes" button doesn't refresh the page. In fact any manual changes are saved but the page doesn't refresh: Note 1. On some occasion clearing browser cache will correct the issue. Note 2. On some occasions after numerous tries edit box will load with text correctly formatted. Note 3. It almost looks like it's some timing problem as it seems to hap…

I would like to know why I can no longer control whether avatars are uploaded to my server or not and why was the option for my members to link to external sources like photobucket removed? Instead there is an option to download from an external sources which is the same as them uploading to my server. That is redundant. My members are aggravated as am I because I will not allow avatars to be uploaded. Now the only option they have is to have to create an account with another service, Gravatar, in order to have an avatar. I had to make the profile directory read only so no one could upload avatars and that is confusing to them since I cannot remove the option from …

In case when profiles are denied for guests, then names and photos (avatars) couldn't be clickable. There is not any reason why should be clickable, when cannot be visited and It's better for SEO purposes.

Rarely in life do I consider handing out any kind of praise to anyone for anything, there's a time and exception for everything I guess and this is one of them for me. I'm not on the inside of IPB and I can not tell anyone what kind of person Jason is because I just do not know that. What I do know however is when I submit a ticket I look forward to one person helping me always and that is Jason. Many hard tech tickets from me and many I expect Jason to "read my mind tickets" that lacked information for him to even help. From my perspective as a customer over the past I think almost 2 years this is the type of employee I would certainly say stands out for doing their j…

Currently you can access memcache through this library http://php.net/manual/en/book.memcache.php But we were already using the memcached lib on our servers http://www.php.net/manual/en/book.memcached.php Would you consider adding support for this? Creating a classCacheMemcached is not much work (you can have ours if you want) and aside from that you would probably just need another setting in conf_global (something like "memcache_lib")

I am getting so frustrated that I am about to stop even coming to this site because of this. I have reported it over and over and people act like I am crazy even though others report the same problem. When I create a new post, most NEVER show up in "My Content" and when you search for posts by me, they are not there either. Sure, some show up a few hours later, but some never show up at all! It's become nearly impossible for me to keep track of my posts here. Totally frustrating. :(

This is a small niggle, but I find it's an issue particularly on this site. When I'm looking at unapproved posts in the ModCP, I don't have any context of what the post is talking about, and I don't see any way to jump directly to the post to see it in relation to the rest of the topic. All I can do is go to the topic itself, or do the standard edit/approve/delete functions. If I see a post in there that's unapproved, I often don't know if it needs to be approved or deleted without seeing it in the context of the entire topic, and there's no easy way to do that right now. At least add an option to let us jump directly to the particular post, not just the topic it's i…

Sometimes guests don't get to see the whole deal until they either sign in or register. This may apply to add-ons like IP.Gallery or IP.Blog. If guests are not allowed to see content, they get this harsh reply "An Error Occurred" which lets probably a lot of users feel bad and some may just leave. Why not tell the visitors what to do instead in order to gain access to the content they are looking for and save one click by just sending them to a page where they can log in or register. Check out the mockup and the original message.

I'm running Varnish to cache the uploads/ and public/ directories and save my webserver some effort. Unfortunately, IPB names all new avatars according to a predictable scheme: av-###.jpg, with the number being the user's userid. If the user uploads a new avatar, it replaces the old one with the same filename. This interacts badly with Varnish, which keeps the old avatar in cache and serves it instead of the new avatar. With lighttpd configured to send Expires: headers a week in the future (as is recommended), Varnish will keep the wrong avatar cached for up to a week. IPB should give new avatars a new filename to logically distinguish them. I know it's possible, be…
