   Developer Mode Issue

   Trying to get the developer mode to work on my local machine, with no success. I just did a fresh install of RC2 and everything is working great. Downloaded the Dev tools and uploaded everything with exception of the dev folders for specific applications I don't own. Added the constants.php file with the IN_DEV TRUE line. When I refresh the page in Chrome all I get is a Web Page Not Available and an Error code: ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED I have a lot of other scripts on my local machine which all work fine. IPB4 RC2 works great as long as I don't have Dev mode active. I've even looked at my server logs and don't see anything out of the ordinary. Are there additiona…

   Don't know why but whenever I edit the skin I get this error: Fatal error: Class 'IPS\Theme\IPSMember' not found in /home/xxxx/public_html/system/Theme/Theme.php(591) : eval()'d code on line 3350 Any idea? Thanks.

   I know you guys are very busy on fixing bugs on the IPS Suite 4 to become a Final stage. But just a quick question: Is there a problem with the "Legacy Upgrades" Department on your Support System in the Client Area? I'm waiting since Feb. 16 for the change of my licenses without any reply (after @Mark H forwarded my ticket to the department). Not a big deal (don't missunderstand), but for now i have time i would spend testing the IPS 4 Suite (upgrades for bug boards from customers etc).

   Hello everyone. In versions 3.x was a very good opportunity to edit the display blocks in IP.Content. Had the opportunity to display different information blocks, editing tags blocks. In 4.x this possibility for some reason did not. I think that was the basis of such properties as flexibility of the Pages. Let's go back this opportunity, I hope many guys will support me.

    in IP content we had the opportunity to change color etc.. of existing tab (forum.blog, etc...) but there is nothing by default in the "menu" tab in "Application Page " in the admin panel i personnally use IP Content ONLY to have the hability to add customs colors and change names order. Why can't we use this feature ? Thanks

    I'm trying to work out how to add some additional code to happen on Submit topic (writing back to the database) and I'm struggling to see where I'm able to do this? I've been through the examples on here quite a few times now and I'm starting to feel like I'm overlooking the obvious. It's probably not particularly helpful that I'm pretty new to php (although not programming in general). If anyone could point me in the general direction I know what I need to be able to do... just not where to put it (yeah yeah, snicker away)...

    IS OpenSSL PHP extension required for IPS4?

    During the beta test of IPS4 the OpenSSL extension was optional. Now during the RC2 system check it seems OpenSSL is required. OpenSSL is required or not?

    Prefix Display Issue?

    When you type in tags and the "Item Prefix" button comes up and then you click the prefix box the dropdown selections seems to show a long way down: Is it supposed to show all the way down there in the message content window? TBH I don't even know what the purpose of it is? Is it like dynamic thread prefixes?

    How do you change your whole site to use HTTPS? I used a htaccess redirect but my IPS install is still loading resources (css,js etc) from http, I can not find a setting to turn on HTTPS for a whole site only logins.

    I am using RC1. When I try to enter a tag such as example like this C.R.24. I receive this message special characters are not allowed. It will work this way CR24. I guess tags can not be entered like this C.R.24 Do you know if this is correct?

    Hi I currently have RC1 installed on our website, I was just wondering if it's worth upgrading when each new RC comes out. Or whether it is easier to just wait for a couple of RC's to be released before upgrading. It wouldn't cause a problem to go from RC1 to RC4 would it? Also is there a place where we can see what changes have been made between each RC? Thanks

    Feature request: Turning off Birthdays and Ranks

    Most general functions of IPS have a setting but I am missing options to turn these two off. I don’t want to know the birthday of my users and with all this privacy discussion in the last years, users (at least here in Europe) get actually suspicious if you even ask them for such personal data. I wish I could just turn that off completely. Same for ranks. I don’t want to “rank” my members and give them arbitrary titles (like “Spam Happy” here). But even if I delete all ranks, it still shows up on a user’s profile. I wish I could just turn that off or it would disappear automatically when no ranks are set.

    I've ran the upgrade on my live site however running into this error when opening a forum, I can view the rest of the forum fine, open the latest posts just not forums. Searched this error code but come across nobody seeing it? I have a backup so can restore everything to 3.4.7 if needed

    License Server Issues

    Hey, I'm in the process of doing a test install for a client's site (upgrading them from 3.4.7 to 4.0 RC1) and when trying to enter any key into the upgrader I get There was an error communicating with the IPS License Server: name lookup timed out. Please try again later or contact IPS technical support for assistance. Has anyone seen this before? I understand this may just be our firewall being well.. stupid, so if it Is I'd need to add the IPS license server to our safelist for the time being.
