I have no problem with it.

On board index, you have to click on last post date instead of topic title.

On board index I want to click on topic title and go to first unread post. If I click on last post date it send me to last post (duhhh) even if there was ten unread posts before.

Just a quick bump on this topic. I'm running 4.0 as a live site now, 95% of the members love it however the one question I've been asked time and time again is how do I go to the first unread post.

I've read multiple topics on here over the years which I've disagreed with, for me across the whole forum when clicking a topic on the home page, within a board and new content should all take you to the first unread. If the user wanted the first or last they could use the pagination.

Clicking a dot/star isn't clear enough, especially to members, especially new members. The removal of the go to first unread post at the top of the topic has caused proved this on my board.

I realise IPS can't have options in the admin panel for every little thing on the forum but I would love to have admin or even better member options like Tapatalk.

If this isn't possible at the very least bring back the link at the top of the topic so I don't have to answer the same question day after day.

I agree. I had to put a legend on on VNC page to help members out. Not the best solution but better than having members play a guessing game on how the forum software works. Back in the old days clicking on the topic title in the VNC results took you to the first unread post. In my opinion that was a better solution.
