It's come to my attention that the only URLs I can add to the menu must begin with http and https. One problem we are facing is that topics are being moved around our forums by different moderators, but on the topic's moderation history, we can't see the forum from/to the topic was moved at each log entry. So we end up with a history of "topic was moved by xxx", without knowing the to/from forum, so we can't understand the path the topic took and which moderador moved the topic to the incorrect place...

Suggestion if it's not already possible. Not sure if this the right place for this topic too. Is it possible to add server types via a plugin for managing a server and creating accounts? Obviously the implementation of the API would be up to me, but still. My end goal/use case would be to manage sub-directories of a domain on a Linux server with a disk quota for the directory.

In my page https://invisionpower.com/clients/purchases/ I have about 50+ purchases the last 4 years: I suggest that IPS remove all old purchases from 3.x days - or give us an option to remove purchases that we don't use anymore. I also find it difficult to have full control of which app I have bought twice - and I think it would have beneficial to all if we had some kind of tagging or internal note on each purchase - so we can see which board we bought it to.. (I have 2 boards and some apps I use on both)

I really question why I continue coming back to Invision, because inevitably something seems to always happen after I renew my account. This time, all I was trying to do was download a purchase I made in the Marketplace. My renewal period had expired, and I just tried to pay to renew it. Unfortunately the invoice had expired and would not create a new on, no matter what options I chose. I submitted a support ticket (ticket #953764) nearly 48 hours ago, to what I thought was the most appropriate department (apparently not), and it still has not been responded to. it simply does not allow video uploads from an iphone and my site will have users active in the outdoors and wanting to upload thier clips. Not to mention my interviews with homeless persons that cant be uploaded either... I really need it but its NOT HAPPENING!!!

I went to edit the onlineUsersRow template and realized that the current setup as of 4.1.12.3 seems inconsistent with most other templates elsewhere in the software. The current setup does most of the work like setting up photo/member name links in the underlying PHP code and the template just outputs that data. Instead I think the $row array should contain a relevant field like the member's id and then do the work within the template to load the photo, lookup the member's name and create the member's profile link. While this is probably a minor gripe that few others would have, I like how consistent IPS has been in other templates and the flexibility that consistency …

There is a bug, when I try to download files from previous version and it has few files. It downloads new version instead previous. Select previous version and try to download any file and you can see it. As I understand, version parameter is missing in the download link. This bug occurs only if previous version has multiple files.

Hello, i want to make a feature suggestion. A button in CKEditor to delete the content of the Text Area. This is very important for the mobile experience, because right now, no one can for example delete a quote in mobile. You can backspace in the keyboard, and the quote simple won't disappear. And because the editor saves the content, even if we get out and return, the empty quote will still be there. The ideal solution would be to make it possible to delete the quote, but because this does not seem something easy to fix, would not be possible to create a button that will wipe the content in the text area?

Now that I have written 3 apps, of varying complexity, for IPS4, I thought I'd share some feedback. If you're using something that's documented, things go very smoothly. A pretty simple app with notifications, e-mails, a handful of settings, and a simple pruning task only took 45 minutes and about 30 lines of code. That's a tremendous improvement over IPS3. If you're using an endpoint that's not documented, you're left to the mercy of the content in the forums and usually a 4 tiered structure of classes you have to bounce back and forth between to understand 'Sending a PM'... how to create the PM, add users to it, etc. I fiddled with it for an h…

And mostly due to IPS policy.... hear me out. Nearly every update of 4.x breaks a multitude of sites. Updates are often quickly (sometimes as little as 48 hours) followed by an update to an update. IPS has released security updates on Fridays, and most recently on a Friday just before a 3 day weekend when IPS is closed. Anyone who works in in I.T. knows that you NEVER EVER upgrade production until you've tested it out on Dev. Right? Here's where IPS's policy is failing not just them, but all of their customers. I'd like to suggest an improvement to the way admins can restrict certain members from accessing specific forum sections. On 3.x it was possible to do this by setting up a custom permission mask and assigning it to that member. This was really useful as it was both effective and subtle i.e. it worked without drawing unnecessary negative attention to that member. Unfortunately in 4.x permission masks were removed so it's no longer possible to do this. @Lindy and IPS Team. Before thats released, If it already doesn't do this, could it be enhanced with. a toggle on each forum where this setting works? That way say I enable it for just admins as an example, but it only works in support forums/areas of the site I designate in. A simple "Highlight Posts Works Here" toggle.

If you're a guest and given a link start a new topic somewhere you can't, for example: https://invisionpower.com/forums/forum/297-company-feedback/?do=add Then you receive an error message telling the page is not available to the account. Could this page receive the "log in/register" box that is at the bottom of topics when it's a guest seeing the error message? And possibly alter the error message a bit.

When there are folders and/or files that need their permissions to be changed, it would be nice if the script outputed a list of chmod commands ready to be copied and pasted, so we would need only to select, copy and paste all the commands to the linux shell in a single operation, instead of having to manually type in the commands one by one. E.g. chmod 777 /www/testforum/applications chmod 777 /www/testforum/datastore etc. Instead of what I shown on the screenshot.

The new 4.1.12 brought the customization of dates, which was a feature we needed, however we still need IPS to have an option to customize the time format and not rely on the locale. Thanks, Gabriel.

I'd like to be able to take the GPS information from multiple events from the Calendar App over a range of dates and display that information on a Global Map. Calendar is great for organizing multiple events but when you have 100+ events on a single day over the globe, events tend to get lost in the event stream shuffle. Perhaps a Calendar Map widget. Or if there was a way for Calendar to organize the Calendar entries by the location you are currently located. Such that the closest events to you are presented at the top of the daily Calendar list. These currently have zero filtering capability on Database fields. These really need to be enhanced so they pull the fields associated with the selected database so you can filter, and sort, on those fields. As it is now, the only way to do this is a custom PHP block that just has a query and feeds the resulting data into a theme template. You can't even use a Pages block template because those are only for plugin blocks. Creating a simple database record feed block with a field filter is proving more complicated than creating, configuring, and populating an entire custom database.
