I used to have 50 Threads per Forum, and also 50 Posts per Thread. With IPB 4.X, the maximum setting is now 25 Threads per Forum. My thoughts about this can be found in this explanatory post for our members - I went ahead and changed them both to 25 for a consistent look-and-feel, but I strongly preferred having them both at 50. I'm writing this post in the hopes that the development team will consider it for future versions. Cheers, Rocks

As per title .... you have used same css code since early 4.0.x and now you decide to add a css which has 'broke' some areas (check blogs) where there are 'pinned/featured' icons the css in question is: ipsContained_container and ipsContained I just cannot figure why this was added to templates ... templates were fine before they were added now they are messed up (as stated check blogs ... even with default IPB theme) So can someone please explain why someone decided to do this when there was nothing wrong with it in first place ?

Hello, I would like to suggest a change in the "Go to page" buttons in the Topic Feed Block. Here is a screenshot attached to show you what I mean: As you see, the pages' numbers are in the bottom part of the thread, while I think it should be better to put them on the same line, just in the right part of the thread. I think it was like that until some weeks ago, then probably you have changed with a new version but I think the old system was much better because now the home page is too long to scroll down. For example, I have a topic that has 100 posts in it. But, 15 of those 100 I want to MOVE to another topic that already exists on Board. It is logical to mark all 15 posts. It is logical then to click on Moderation Actions. It is logical then to see the available options, and to choose MOVE. It is logical that, after clicking on the MOVE, I get a field in which I will paste URL link of the topic that I want to MOVE posts in. Everything is worked like this on IPB3. Hi, When a upgrade is being performed, the "message in progress" is loaded from a static file (as the database is being manipulated). So there is no way for us to translate this message. My suggestion is to provide an option to choose the language for this message, i.e. message in other languages included in the static file. As our forums are in Portuguese and most Brazilians can't read English, it would be really great to have this option, especially when the upgrade takes more than a few minutes, like it was today with 4.1.8, which took a couple of hours. In the ACP there is a column on the left it includes your primary navigation, The second column to the right of that is sub areas for features & settings. The remainder of the area is the interface where you adjust the individual settings for the selections made. However this is where things get confusing and in some cases out of control because this area may contain to many settings you introduce another interface design pattern "TABS". In the above case its not too terrible as there are only six tabs. But in other areas this model breaks down quickly - and to no fault to custom application / theme developer - who is most likely limited to the us…

With all sorts of settings coming out with each upgrade would be cool to see a tag or bubble stating that its new so we know it's something that could be looked at and configured.

It sure would be nice if I could share an album (allowing others to post to the same album). For example we may have a category called Tech then an Album called F5 and many users would like to share there F5 pictures but currently they have to create a separate album instead of all uploading to the same album. Seem's silly.

The Record Image is a great improvement over 3.4. Max size setting, thumbnail setting, automatic OG:IMAGE use. Great! But the Upload Field does not have a thumbnail setting, nor does it seem to use the site-wide thumbnail settings (ACP→System→Posting). So since the functionality is already there anyway: Can we please route the Upload Field images through a thumbnail creation process? Either with field-specific settings or a least using the settings which are used for attachments.

Why, on the main forum page, does the 'reset area background' include the box area of the forum description? Wouldn't it be nicer to be able to keep this background/surround area a different colour. It makes it hard. It would be great if you could provide areas with names that more clearly indicated what they refer to, a diagram, or an easy way to query the page to ask it what bit it is. It isnt easy to discern the name of each area by looking at the page source. At least not for a novice like myself.

This needs some more thinking put into it. I have some ideas to consider. One: for each group, when you enable for the admin, you will see an colour box to pick what background and border colour, also having the transparent option for those that only want border. I added an CSS code to change around what I want, and one thing I noticed that it doesn't change the private message without added another line of CSS code for that. Plugin above seems to do the same thing yet it has more options for each group, The idea goes well with the default theme, colours does. Custom themes needs allot more tweeting in the CSS.

Hi, When creating/editing a stream, please could you add a filter option to select 1 or more Member Groups? Currently you can filter by a specific member, but not a group of members. Then you could have a stream/s that specifically shows activity from staff members, new members, VIP members etc. Many thanks!

Kind of annoying - you visit the site and there is a notification for a quoted post that appears as a kind of black pop up at the bottom centre of the screen, so you click it and go to the notification and then move to a different part of the site. The notification icon top right still has the yellow 1 there and remains there until you open that notification as well. Can't the pop up be linked to the notification centre so it acts as read if you read the notification via the pop up?

This has becomie a headache for us. In versions 3.x we could turn this off. That is not an option now, and that is a real problem. When we had 12 years ago a couple of hundred registered users, of whom maybe 25% were actually active, that was fine, now we ahve 60,000 plus registered, with obviously much churn and a couple of hundred regularly active while others only drop in occasionally or to seek advice and information on a single topic and drop out once their query has been addressed.. Hi, It would be great if there was an option that allows us to add an event that recurs on a particular day each month. For example, my members are trying to add an event that happens on the 2nd Thursday of every month. This can't be done with the current setup. As real world examples, my local markets happen on the 1st Saturday of every month, and my local bar has a DJ set on the 1st Friday of every month. This is a common way that events are promoted but despite trying several different combinations I can't get this to function on the current calendar.

I'd like to see an option for all links to be rich. iOS 10 and other software are pushing for this now. If the site provides a sharer logo, then the editor should be able to grab it. Place to create more media links easier, having to edit CKEditor files is a drag. That seems about it for now, I actually quite like CKEditor, if you guys happen to head in the direction of another editor, just leave the ability to easily create buttons.

Hello, I've recently upgraded from Nexus to Commerce and have noticed a few areas requiring improvement, in the ACP. ------- With Nexus in 3.x, the Paypal transaction ID was displayed for each payment - which made it very easy to find the customer on Paypal (sometimes they use different email addresses compared to my site, so an email search isn't possible). With Commerce in 4.x, the Paypal transaction ID is no longer shown for billing agreements. An example of this is below. Hello, if there are two members in a conversation and one leaves the conversation, the other member is still able to reply. Why is it possible to reply when nobody else is there? Now when user joins chat he usually see empty page. Option "Show chat history upon joining a room" is switched ON, but it works in very weird way - it displays only last 10 minutes messages instead of displaying last, let's say, 20 messages. Perfect solution would be to load older messages automatically when scrolling up. So for me this chat is absolutely useless. People stopped using it, because they can't see previous messages. People don't want to sit in the chat room for hours.

Currently you can make a ticket for support only. It would be nice if some way you could log a ticket and it goes to Dev or sales team.
