Hey guys, I try to change the background of the header with the following code in the custom css: header:first-of-type{ background:url(http://www.my-website.com/themes/2/images/bg_header.jpg); height:250px } Now when I visit a forum, the background of the topic gets changed too. Even that I use the :first-of-type selector. What am I doing wrong. Or is there a better way of changing the header background? (In the style wizard I only can choose colors - no images). Thanks for your support!

Would IPS include a Got to top button in the next release? There is no way to go to top (on mobile), except adding a button through plug-ins from third party developers, something that most of us have done. It is a solution that in my opinion should have been in the core. I noticed one site that included the Top button, with Facebook share and I certainly would think this would be a good combination also for us? (Or something for a developer?)

Hello ! I'd like to know if you could consider to bring back the possibility to use 2 images for the read and unread state of the forums. Currently, only 1 image is used, which is either opaque or transparent to show the state of a forum. To be able to use the "classic" "unread image" + another "read image" would be great. Thanks !

Just lost my domain after being out sick for awhile and unable to attend to it. After getting back to things and starting over I just found out my perpetual license is no good!?!?! After thinking that this was no big deal to start over I find out that I've really lost everyone. I found an old forum post addressing this but am i SOL for being an early adapter and supporting the company early on? I spent some good money with this company, i truly hope I'm not getting the shaft here.

In the old interface one could find all the error codes and look them up as to what they mean. Current the new interface don't have the link anymore and I take it that by now all to most of the area codes are final. Could they but listing in the IPS4 Resource link so people can look up what they mean?

Please could an option be added to make certain menu bar links nofollow if we wish, as currently they are all automatically and unavoidably dofollow? Thanks.

Not sure if its hiding on me, but is there somewhere in ACP under member view to see last login/last visit date? I find myself clicking into a user's profile to see when they last visited. Would be nice to have that under Joined Date in Member View.

Would it be possible to get a mods to the Saved Actions: Ability to sort them. It gets really confusing when you have a lot of saved actions and they are all over the place on the list. Let's say I have a forum which has multiple Saved Actions. It's hard for my moderators to go though the entire list to find the Saved Actions which only moves the thread vs. the one which moves the thread and leaves a message. Right now it's sorted in the order that I add them. I can't even tell you how many times I've heard complaints from my mods about this. Right now I'm re-doing all the saved actions so that they are organized... which is a real pain in the posterior…

About I have an idea how the community Administrators can earn money. All we need is to unite the power of our communities and give our members the offer to post their message to many different websites around the World. Once the Administrator received the request from any of his members, he share the message to others in the group and we will post this message on our communities too. That means the first Administrator earned money and others supported for free. We must to reach an agreement not to abuse (spam) each others for free - only payed messages should be shared. I suggest the start price for one message from $10 (with no files to upload) and $20 (including atta…

Hi, Our club members complain about the leak of visual feedback showing when there is activity on a club. It could be a simple thing like becoming bold or having a notification counter (red circle with number of new posted messages) in the clubs widget block or tab. It seems that not everybody uses the community in the same way : some people are very "graphically oriented" and navigates through the forums seeking for new messages instead of using the activity streams or unread content. In our case it seems to be "most of the cases", considering the number of received complains in that way. Thank you for your attention, Best regards, Z

hi, I wanted to know if there is a way to allow a specific user group to ban without necessarily giving administrative permissions to the dedicated panel. Thanks

I find myself having to manage some spam members, only that the procedure is slow, because every action I take is diverted to the user's page. It would be useful to have a checkbox with an actionItems. as already happens in the management of forum threads. In this way it is possible to have a live manage them to signal users spammers and ban without having continuous redirects

A friend has just pointed out that is that it's possible to click "mext unread topic" and be transported to a thread in which the only additional post since you last read it is by an ignored user. I don't know how feasible this is to implement but it would be handy to differentiate between a topic which has unread content in general and one in which the only new posts are ones which you wouldn't see anyway because they've been posted by users you've blocked.

Similar to how Stack Overflow works when asking a new question, it would be great if there was a typeahead feature for topic titles to avoid duplicating entries. For example - If I were to type "How to Use Emojis", as I type, all topic titles that match that text would appear as suggested links that could be opened or previewed to see if the topic I am proposing already exists. I know there are Similar Topics addons, but they only show you topics related to the one already posted. If not a core feature, then perhaps an addon?

Hi, I know there has been several times people suggesting mobile apps for Invision Community, but let me tell about my "new" Idea from another point of view that should be more easy to implement and more useful for people using Invision communities. The basis of my reflexion is still based on "how to fight social networks". One fact in social networks that makes them more "interesting" ( but in fact more "attention keepers") is the instant notifications telling users something new has happened regarding their content or things they're interested on. From my point of view it is certainly not the only point making social networks more reactive but it is one of the…

It would be really friendly if there is an "Ignore Member" button near "Follow Member" button on user profile page.

IMO there shouldn't be anything "fixed" in the sidebar of clubs. My club looks horrible with clubMemberBox list in the sidebar. Make it a block I can add if I want, don't force me to have a list of members there. Any particular reason why that's there permanently? There is already a members tab with a list of members. All my clubs features are full width, except the pages which you've decided to have the clubMemberBox on. I'm sure @Matt and his Merry Men took a lot of time coding the block manager... let's use that in this instance instead of... well... deleting everything in the clubMemberBox template. If there is a setting to remove this, please …

Hi, my "feature suggestion" is quite simple. It will be nice if we can use image thumbnails in Our Picks boxes instead of full size, heavy images. More about this issue:

Hello, Below is list of some idea which could help clubs in future. My community is in need of more customization with different features for clubs. Clubs offer a limit of options and need of different look from tabs. Goals of this project is more options for my community members to have control over. One of the biggest changes for clubs would be having the option to change from tabs to same look as forums sections. This idea would need to be applied to gallery, downloads etc etc. Individual shoutboxes for clubs, would add new level of talking to one other. When creating the description for clubs my community members would like to be able to have more options, …
