Hi folks, i would like to know if there is the possibility to include the button of "insert image from URL" in the toolbar of the CKEditor. Yes, there is the "insert other media button" just below the text area, but i would like to know if is possible. Regards

I have set 3 seconds as flood limit. It doesnt follow that. Sometimes it says "Wait 1 second before another search", it doesnt limit at all.Bug?

Hi I notice that my forums, sometimes when I post a youtube video link, it become an embedded video on that topic. However it only works sometimes, and somtimes it's just a link. How can I make it always become an embedded video? It's really random. Is there a way to force a video being embedded?

I know about the change to the effect of pressing return - it now starts a new paragraph. OK. But why do I suddenly see so many posts with masses of white space at the end of them? It's as though the poster has hit return 10 or 20 times. It's possible, but I've not seen it before. Anyone else seeing this mass of blank lines? Like this.

Hello guys. I messed up in plesk with my folders. now old foldernames are in IPB 4. It says sometimes like restricted, no access etc... because folder names changed. where can you adjust the folders /paths ? What do i have to delete to clear cache ? couldnt find a "cache" folder. thanks for your help

I am trying to use the panel on V4 to upload and change the logo. I keep getting upload failed and have no idea why. I am new to this but the file is logo.png and its the exact size as the original there. I have used the skin burning sky and have edited the logo text using photoshop 12. is there a way I can find the file using an FTP cliet, as in the location and upload it directly ?? Thank you for any help anyone might give.

Hi everyone, I'm still trying to figure out IPS 4 and i cant find really any documentation on how to use this version. My problem is that when i place blocks on my pages, its hit or miss. sometimes theyll stay, other times theyll disappear and just be how it was before i tried editing it. My main problem at the moment is that I have a wysiwyg block still displaying this missing photo link, on every page of my site. and even after deleting it and clicking finish editing, no matter how many times, how many different browsers etc it will no go away. After upgrading to 4.0.6.1, any record images I upload won't display because the code is: <img src="monthly_2015_05/image.jpg.2c18f1540fa4512ea167fe5a4d718722.jpg">Instead of: <img src="http://mysite.com/uploads/custom-path/monthly_2015_05/image.jpg.2c18f1540fa4512ea167fe5a4d718722.jpg">All the existing images are fine, it's only new ones. Anybody else had this issue? Thanks

Hi, Exploring external Db Authentication options in IPB4. My goal to have an external Db, a members suite of apps which handles registration and non forum features. The external Db is managed by non php code, so the "SSO" as IPB think of it via connect, is not suitable. To prove the concept I have a super simple external Db, which IPB is correctly talking to and allowing users to log in via when they exist. In IPB3 there was a external registration url, where to send the user to register etc. That is to say I want the users to register via my other 'members' application, which populates the external Db, then the forums hook into that. Thinking about what to do with some bbcode from a 34X site after it eventually moves to IPS4. Playing with my v4 site I can *almost* get a custom button to do what the bbcode did, but not quite. In bbcode I just wrapped a word in the code and it spit out some text with the selection formatted as a search query. I created an editor button but to recreate the effect requires {content} to appear twice in code: <a href="http://www.google.com/search?q={content}">{content}</a> However it fails, like so (this is what appears in the post box: ">{content} If I replace the quotes with single quotes I get a less broken appearing result, but it's merely linked to …

Hi, I used to have vBulletin 4 forum. Then i made conversion to IB.P 3.4 and then to 4.0. Now i have problem with old vBulletin links. I didn´t uploaded links converter to 3.4 so now my links are broken. Is there anything i can do to fix those? Other than manually one by one? Can i still upload links converter and will it work?

I have a question regarding the download system. Whenever I make the system automatically generate a post with the screenshot, the screenshot is broken in the topic view but when you go to to download section, the screenshot is intact and fine. How can I fix this issue? Also, is there a way to use the notification system (in-line notification) when a download is waiting approval? Does it have to be email based? Can I change it to a inline notification instead? Cheers.
