Someone replied to an older topic. When I try to see his reply, I can't access it: it takes me to the last page of the topic but I don't see his reply. There is no "Reply to this topic..." box at the bottom and clicking the green "Reply to this topic" doesn't do anything. Clicking the "..." icon at the top right of a post to edit it doesn't do anything. Clicking a checkbox to select a post to moderate it selects the checkbox but does not pop up the moderation control menu. I'm missing the footer at the bottom of that page. Hi, I wanted to test the REST API to issue a warning without using the IPS software. As soon as I add a second parameter to the API, I get an error. I think the API needs to be updated because of the 4.7.0 (or another) version which adds new features, like achievement points. Using only the "moderator" parameter, the warning is issued without any information about the reason (which is normal). Hello, I found this message in my platform: PHP 8.1 Please be aware that Invision Community does not yet support PHP 8.1. When dragging some files to a post, users get the message "The application/zip file format(s) are not supported." I believe that it means a preview won't be created - but they can still be attached the file. The message annoys members as we regularly ask them to upload a .zip file. Members complain that we ask them to do something that does not work (when in fact it does). Even the wording of the message is confusing: application/zip is not a file format. sorry if i asked in anyones post. I have tried and tried and Im obviously doing something wrong. I have latest version of invision on php8 server I create a constants.php file........then ad this <?php \define( 'CP_DIRECTORY', 'my new admin name' ); and change the name of my admin folder to the new admin name. I put the constants.php file in my forums directory. I have an ips focus theme/skin and once I change the new admin name and add constants.php file with code in it. My site goes completely white blank> Any help appreciated, as i really want to hide my admin page from intruders

Hello, I tried to post a long comment for a record created within Pages database and fall into the issue: IPS\Db\Exception: Data too long for column 'comment_post' at row 1 (1406) The database_comment table has comment_post column of TEXT data type which is 65535 in length. Consider changing it to to MEDIUMTEXT or LONGTEXT to avoid such scenarios. Thanks.

Hello, 🙂 After upgrading to 4.7.7 today, I noticed that all new posts containing a link were held for moderator approval. I went in the ACP / System / Settings / Posting and disabled Links Filtering option : I had chosen the « Allow any links apart from the links specified » option. Now I use « Allow any link » and it looks like it’s ok. Have you encountered the same problem ? Thank you 🙂

There's no check that the user has permission to see the post being edited, so it's possible to edit a post after it has already been hidden. To reproduce: Post in a topic Start editing that post Moderator hides the post Submit the edit Edit goes through successfully It's not so bad in that repro, because they must have had it open already, but it's not great if the user constructs the calls manually to both load the current version of the post, and make changes to it.

These two options should not be available if the content was added by a guest and user with limited privileges should not be allowed to flag a user as a spammer. He only has the "Can view all hidden content?" permission.

After upgrading to 4.7.8 earlier, I’ve found that the moderator drop down list doesn’t work properly when in the new grid layout mode. The list of actions displays, but selecting any of the does nothing. Works fine in the traditional table layout though. (Tested using default IPS and custom themes but only using iPad with iPadOS 16.3.1 Safari). Also, the grid layout doesn’t show in /files/categories/ view, but this may be by design.

Is this a bug? The "Add Similar Event" option allows a member to continue creating events on a calendar they no longer have access to. To test: Set up two calendars, the group the test member belongs to needs full access to both. Create an event on the first calendar using the test member. Remove the option to Add Events to the first calendar from the test members group. Confirm the test member no longer has access to create event on the first calendar but can on the second. Return to the event on the first calendar and note the member can use "Add Similar Event". Press "Add Similar Event", the member can create an event …

I've seen there are some discussions regarding blank space, but I think the existing ones refer to something else (otherwise, please feel free to merge this one into an existing topic). I've seen that some specific members generate a lot of unnecessary space after their text generally. For example, I've just got this from one of my members: And the source it's like this: Is it just my forum or have others seen the same? I'm on 4.7.6 by the way.

Pages database now has stopped adding the new databases you create as a tab on any restricted moderator groups in order to give you access to add, edit, and delete messages. And on an existing old database that already added on the restricted moderator tab if you don't enable all above options, the restricted moderator groups who doesn't have access to add, edit, and delete messages won't be able to see any reported contents from this database. Hello, I have an application I have gotten and wanted to re-download it as I did some work on my website. When I go to the application to download I can't do so as it just says renew first before I can redownload it even an older version.. I thought the buyer was allowed to download the resource I bought. I just wanted to understand if I'm understanding it correctly or not.
