I recently upgraded to IPB4 and added blogs as part of the update, everything worked fine on my test sites but I'm having some problems with it now. Every time anyone creates a new blog (blog, not entry), they get a 504 gateway timeout error. The blog does get created but without the name or description set by the member, and the only way to edit the blog settings is to post an entry, after which everything seems to work ok. It's not a huge issue because you can still make blogs if you know this workaround, but most people don't and so end up creating several blank blogs because they just go back from the 504 page and try again. Anyone know a solution to this?

ok i have a small problem im trying to enable links on my pages app what i mean by that is the following i have a database setup where i post news when ever a post is made and any kind of link i shown on it it wont let me click on it its just text but if i click on read more the link works fine there is there a way to make it so that the link works in both places frontend and read more

Quite a few of my members bookmarked specific pages of my forums, and the URL is now different. I want to share with you a simple instruction how you can easily add moderator tags to your IPS forum without any 3rd party plugins or styles. First open your ACP and go to Customization -> Editor -> Toolbars and click Add button. Then choose Custom tab. Specify your button options. For example: Button Title: Warning Icon: choose any icon. Is there any way to remove multiple member attachments/photo uploads at the same time. If you go to System>files in AdminCP you can delete uploaded attachments one at a time, but there isn't any way to choose more than one to delete. This is very tedious if you wish to do a bulk delete.

So, it seems that flagging a member as a spammer hides all their posts from public view and unflagging them doesn't unhide them. One of my admins flagged an active member as a spammer because of a misunderstanding and now this member's 1000+ posts are hidden. I have to manually unhide all of them. How do I mass unhide them?

Hello, I was running v2.2.2 and Google Webmaster tools kept moaning about mobile compatibility since last year. I took the plunge towards the end of Feb and updated to v4.1 - and now my traffic has gone through the floor Clicky Pic Any idea why? This is raw clicks, so shouldn't be anything to do with users not enjoying the 4 feel and presumably everything to do with the way the v4 board indexes and shows in results?

Hey, in the past two weeks, our forums have had an increasing number of members notify us of an issue on our forums where they are unable to post. This includes posting on topics, creating new topics and creating new statuses. The forum will load up the topic or create a new topic screen but the reply box just remains gray so the members are unable to type in it. I just can't see that I have done anything different between these two sites. This is a site that was upgraded from 3 to 4. I turned the old article db into an archive page, and created a fresh new articles db to start over. Am I just missing a setting or is it something to do with the upgrade? Any suggestions? Thanks JM

I have users who can upload files to downloads application. I enabled stats and everyone in the group can see who downloaded files on every file. I want to set permissions such that only the OWNER of a respective file can who has downloaded it. But if they click on another file there are no stats. Possible???? (can't find setting) Thank you

Good afternoon, Recently my server hosting was compromised and a hacker gained full access to the system my IPB was hosted on. As you could expect, we're moving to much more secure solution for our needs, however, we are concerned what exactly could have been done while this attacker was in our system. I know that the support tab has the feature to "check all source code" for authenticity or something similar, however, I am also concerned about the database. As far as our plugins/applications go, I will be deleting all of them and installing fresh new versions as I'm not sure if they are included in the source code check or not (I'm assuming they're not). …
