Hi, I am having trouble getting this set up. I have gone through the guide on here over and over, which seems straight foward. but everytime I click to log in with facebook I get this message I have found the app domains field, but there is zero mention of adding anything to it on the IPS guide. Any suggestions where I am going wrong please?

Ok so... A few things to consider when reading this request for help or further info. I'm PHP illiterate ... I need to fix this but for now I call upon you handy folks I'm using ADVANCED RULES and POINTS ECONOMY. What I'm looking for is a rule that goes beyond just checking for a post - It checks for a character count as well. I know this can be done using PHP but the HOW is WELL beyond me. RULES in both conditions and actions does have a spot for manual PHP entry so I'm wondering if that can be used to my advantage. This just stems from not wanting to award points for every little tiny, possible spam post but rather look for a character count.…

Hi All, I like to make a overview of topics/posts made in specific forums and date. Now there isn't a option in statistics in the admin cp, so I like to do it with query's. What I made: select count(*) From 'forums_topics' Where forum_id IN (428,429,430,431,432,433) AND from_unixtime(start_date) > STR_TO_DATE('06/08/2017', '%m/%d/%Y') But this only show the topics that are made. I like also to know how many posts are maiden. Now I was checking core_message_topics but I couldn't really find any relation with this forums or topics.. Do someone know how I can achieve this?

Anyone knows how to serve static content from a different domain with IPS4.2 ? I try to move my css and js to different domain and serve those resources with cookie-free domain in pair with Cloudfront CDN. I don't know where to start. I wonder if this unnecessary cookie-free trafic can give me some performance improvments or this is just a another point to gain with YSlow ?

Hto to use Lato webfont avalaible in IPS 4.2 stock theme as local resource instead of loading this font from Google Webfonts ? I want to use this font with custom theme and load to users from my server with cache control feature, allowing to store this font in users local cache. Anyone ?

I can't figure out how to edit the title of a topic once posted, even with Moderator or Admin full privileges. What am I missing? EDIT: I notice an "Edit" link on my post, 17 minutes after posting. On older posts of mine, even unanswered ones, only the "Quote" link is visible. Is this part of the issue, and if so, is the duration of the "Edit" link configurable on my own site?

So I know its pretty much not possible to just stick the members db from an old 3.x ipb into the new system and then go bulk email them. What im asking is if someone can rig up a system where I can either create ghost accounts with the emails in them from my old db so I can bulk email them from my new 4.x and then delete them from the sql or something of that sort. I have two backups that are very outdated but very large that I would like to be able to advertise to again, ipbs email system has always worked great for me and I dont want to bother with some other option. Please let me know your guys ideas and thoughts. Thanks.

Hello, We've currently been trying to import some HTML through the editor, but it keeps deleting parts of it. We can allow CSS classes through the admin panel, but we'd like to completely disable that feature so any code can be put in the editor without deletion. How can we do that and where? Hi, is there a way, that guests also can see Clubs und depending on permissions read topics and posts? This would be very helpful to promote the Clubs, so that people who are not member can especially decide to become a member, because of clubs. I have some great ideas to promote this feature. Mark

I want the header to display when the user scrolls up so they don't have to scroll all the way to the top, if they want to access the menu. I'm having issues with pagination. When I move to the next page with the pagination at the bottom, my header appears and covers the pagination at the top. How can I tell the page to load the next page with more margin at the top to allow the header to be displayed there? Is that a setting somewhere in CSS?

Hello ! ) I'm trying to make the link for the "Links Directory" app appear in the main menu for guests, but I can't make it... It appears for logged in members only (it's been like that for a long time and now I want to allow guest seeing it too). => I've checked the guests group's permissions in ACP/Membres/Groups/Permissions and it's ok (both "See category" and "View links" are checked). => I've also checked ACP/Links/Categories/Permissions and it's ok too for all categories (guests translater is invite) : => I've checked ACP/System/Menu manager and I see the link does appear in the Main menu. But it doesn't appear for guests. …

I have just updated our development/test site to 4.2.0 but upon doing that, the blocks/widgets have disappeared. When I open up the Block Manager, they re-appear until I click "Finish Editing" at which point they disappear. I have tried removing & re-adding them. Something simple I'm sure. - any suggestions? Hi all, Im trying to figure the best way to do this. I have pages as the main page to post articles, and I use the forums for comments. From what I understand the forum just mirror the articles ? so I have the same content twice ? Because as it is now, if I post an article the link is example.com/articles/title and the mirrored is example.com/forums/topic.5/title both have the same content and comments Isn't that bad for seo? or is not something to worry about? if it is should I exclude the articles pages from google bots or any other tips ?

Since upgrading to 4.2, if I set anything to show on the postbit on 4.2, it won't show no matter what. Not even Awards or anything. Has the code changed? Has IPS disabled anything from showing there?
