I'm running Invision Community v4.7.4. When posting with Samsung Gallaxy s22 snd Brave browser a great deal of whitespace is added into the post. The longer the user takes to post the more whitespace is added. This happened once before but I cannot remember what the fix was.

Earlier this week, something happened that causes many, if not all of the blog entries on my site to fail to load. This one for example. Using webservice easy cron since 35 hrs. now but the pace of the tasks are absolutely horrible slow. At this rate, it will probably take several weeks to finish. Rebuilding posts is now at Rebuilding posts 32,55% Two days ago it was at 24%. There must be something wrong.

Hello, looking to upgrade my forum. Currently running PHP 7.4. I tried upgrading PHP to v8 a few weeks back and it broke the forum so I'm curious best steps to perform the upgrade. Is this correct order of things to do? 1. Disable all third party apps 2. Upgrade PHP to v8 in CPanel 3. Run the forum upgrade Am I missing anything here? Thanks!

Hello all, I know that in IPS Admin, via the user groups you can allow/disallow the posting of HTML. For obvious reasons I know why it is a dangerous item to have. However I have another site (Trusted) and wondered if it is possible to allow the posting of HTML via trusted domains only. This way the system will only allow HTML in posts if it is from a "Whitelisted" domain. I feel this would allow for a "Safer" why for HTML posting. I am not sure if this is an option already, but I did not see it. Please let me know if it already exists. All the best, P

Hello, I uploaded the files for the update. then I opened "example.com/admin/upgrade". The whole process was fast and I logged in with the AdminCP credentials. Once inside, I clicked on the link to visit the site which looked a bit different, probably because the theme was out of date. I noticed that the Chatbox app was no longer activated, so I activated it. then i revisited the site and got a 500 error. I went back to the CP and clicking somewhere else got another 500 error. When I try to go to "example.com/admin/upgrade" I get a message saying "There are no apps available to upgrade". Should I delete everything and start over or... Thanks in advanc…

This isn't about one of my own licenses but about a community I'm a member of. It appears to have been upgraded yesterday. (I assume to 4.7.4. The admin doesn't seem interested enough to know how to make beta releases available.) There have been all sorts of problems with members (including me) showing as logged in as other members. The admin has responded that it was a caching issue, and now people are posting as themselves again, so the situation has apparently been resolved. It seems clear from comments that members have been reading other members' PMs, and accessing protected areas of the site where a particular member group speaks in the expectation that convers…

Hi team, I detect that when IPS sends a Payment mail copy as BCC configured in Payments -> Settings -> Email Copies. This mails arrive as spam because havent any sender certificate. Can you take a look to solve in upcoming updates. Thanks a lot.

Hello: I upgraded my site to PHP 8.0 via WHM. I got the error This page isn't working www.capitalstool.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500 I reverted to PHP 7.4 and the site is working again. I have notified my webhost. Also, I have several other problems. Internal page links have stopped working. I recently enabled Apple ID sign in to my Invision Community. Unfortunately, notification emails fail to be sent to members who which to hide their Apple ID email address from our community and are therefore using appleid privaterelay email. I looked it up and it looks like this could be due to a misconfiguration of the email? I read that "Developer has to register their domain with the Private Relay service else emails will get bounced." I'm making a serious decision to consider closing my forums, just a few days before my subs are due. Will the forums still be operational if I don't pay the amount when it's due. Can I put a hold on the payment, to ensure it's not taken until the decision is made very shortly? Thanks

If I am reading a blog article on my community, or if I've started typing a post or a response in a browser tab, and I get a push notification for example that someone sent me a message, then when I click the notification, the page I was reading or typing in reloads with the content of the link in the notification. That means I lose track of what I was doing in that tab, or I lose the text I was typing. Instead, I wish it would open the notification link in a new tab.

Hello, Users of our forum are reporting seeing error 500 blank pages when accessing a specific forum category, Sass Wire Saloon (https://forums.sassnet.com/index.php?/forum/16-sass-wire-saloon/). They appear to be able to see everything fine if they are logged out and browsing as guests. However when they login, they can see all other forum categories fine.
