When you get a notification it may be by Email and Notification center however if you navigate thru email and read it or just go to the content directly and read it the notification still remains un-read. When you read content something should update notification as read.
Also if you get notifications for pending approval of content if another mod/admin has already address the action then it should update that original notification as READ and append  "Matt Approved Post"

    Hi,
those are SVG images, which are text and compressed via HTTP Gzip. 🙂
If you mean the uploaded images - good suggestion.

If lazy load is enable, why not lazy load profile pictures on IPS 4.5?
On some pages there are many profile pictures with big sized images.

I 100% agree, which is why I privately commissioned a plug-in "Compact Streams" from @Spanner over a year ago. He can probably privately sell for a very modest price.
I killed all of that junk on mobile.  No stream title, no stream description, no stream option, no stream filter, no condensed or expanded. Five lines of junk, junk, junk.

Communities that are 50%+ mobile should be auditing all of their top pages on mobile to evaluate the user experience.

My IPhone Xr are on repair again (terrible phone!), so at the moment I use my sons IPhone SE. I think that is a standard screensize for many members also.
How many users need Condensed/Expanded and how many need to alter Stream Options. There must be better way of doing this. I think it is a setback from the version we are on now, and I hope there will be a setting so that we easily can skip that stuff. Most of my members don't care about this functionality - they just need to see activity.

Will there be an option to remove unuseful information (For us)from top of that page when next version are here? On one of my sites members check new content all the time and this new look is not userfriendly in my opinion .
attach views from new and old version...I know what I prefer 🙂

    Any news on this?
JFYI: I'm one of these clients who does not have it installed because there is no reason to install while IPS does not support it. Your move must be first.
Also, as a step even further, it would be good to integrate the support of https://imgproxy.net/ (https://github.com/imgproxy/imgproxy)

    Hey team,
    I had several ideas...
1.) What would it look like if the entire quick reply form was moved from the bottom to directly underneath the Topic starter's post.
2.) Additionally, a quick reply form would appear when quoting to someone's comment.
    3.) Truncating replies.
I think it's pretty interesting how on Reddit, you can follow a chain of replies. Whereas in IPB, it's a long list of thread. I imagine for someone casually browsing they'd be overwhelmed with the amount of replies to sort through. I would love to explore options on how to display comments so that things are simplified.

I'm not super fond of the idea of having to scroll all the way to the bottom of a topic to reply.

I wonder if it would make things easier for users to reply.
Making things easier/more efficient = more engagement!
Have any ideas to make replying easier? Any thoughts on how to lay comments out so there is more content in-view per scroll? I'm interested to hear what the community thinks.

We've had issues with this too.
We migrated from PHPBB which had a true blocking system. I've found the implementation of IPB's ignore system lacking, really. When people look to ignore, they're looking to block them as they expect the feature to be similar to the blocking systems present on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, but also of other forums such as PHPBB.
We've had various forum users on our community say that the ignore feature is bugged, when in actual fact it's the implementation that should be looked at because users are expecting it to work the same as a block feature.

But this isn't like real life though, isn't it, and that's not the way this should work.
If I put you on ignore, you shouldn't see any of my content and I should see any of yours, period!
There shouldn't even be a way for me to take a wee peek at your posts, as that just defeats the purpose of the Ignore feature.

What is the discussion about. IPS should add other option as requested and every forum admin may decide how to use the ignore feature. I sometimes doubt whether single additional option that could be done within 20 minutes is worth multiple topics and writing a book, no offense!

No, it's not the same.  You ignore someone "in real life" and they know you're ignoring them because.. well.. you're ignoring them.
The ignore feature on Invision does not have the same effect.  It feels more of a consequence for the person doing the ignoring when it should be the other way around.  It has zero benefit to those who want to truly ignore someone and never have to deal with them again, and it's why my community just stopped wasting their time trying to use it.
Those who didn't want to be associated with certain people and had no option to prevent them from constantly being in their online business have decreased their activity on the site because, like a broken record, the ignore feature bares no consequence on the user who is exhibiting behavior another member disagrees with when it should in some capacity.  They should be aware that they can no longer associate with a user when they attempt to access anything associated to that user, and maybe reflect on why it happened in the meantime.
We can have these improvements on the same ignore system in place without having to argue semantics on what to actually call it or compare it to.  There's no way that truncating a few posts behind a basic warning is the best Invision can do to give members more power over their accounts and their experiences.

You can see the ignored member. Ignored member can see you. You can see their profile. They can see yours. You have your activity streams bumped dozens of time if the ignores member posts dozens of time.  So the only advantage is to “hide” the content in the topic but still shows in search and activity streams?
    It can be better. Believe.

10 years later, and here we are - NOTHING.
it’s pretty obvious that Invision developers and product managers, simply said, just don’t care about providing an effective and functional ignore function. This is most likely the case because none of them run their own forums, and thus (as usual) don’t actually have any clue as to what functionality is useful for a forum.
There is a plug-in from Adriano Faria (thank you @Adriano Faria), “Disallow Ignored Members From Replying in My Topics” which does a great job allowing forum members to keep their threads clean of members they ignore - though the ignored members still see the topic, they can not reply or post in it. This is a great start.
I guess the only way to get a proper reciprocal ignore feature is to commission a developer to create it - I’ve asked around, and quoted prices range anywhere from a couple of $100 to nearly $1,500. Might be worth it, seeing as how this will never happen from Invision.

Currently you have the ability to ignore someone's posts and ignore someone's personal conversations. I believe if you ignore someone in personal conversations, they can't send you one.

What I would like to see is a couple options to expand the ignore posting part.

    1) An option to forbid a user from posting in your topics.

    2) An option to either completely hide a post from view (as in no "This user has posted. Do you want to see it anyway?"), or make it much more condensed. The purpose of ignoring a particular user is that you get annoyed by their posts. But that annoyance still remains even if you can't see what they posted but know they posted in line with the rest of the posts. I know there has been some comments about this like "What if someone else was replying to this person and it caused confusion". Well in this case how about something near the top of the topic out of the line of posts that says "X posts hidden". I can see it, skip past it, and half-way forget about it when I start reading. Essentially don't give me a reason to click on "read it anyway" because if it's in line with the posts, I'm more likely to do so, thus making the ignore feature useless. The whole point of this is -- please make this not inline. It defeats the purpose of ignoring posts.

Our users keep complaining about how the "ignore" feature is basically useless. The fact that...
You can see "You've chosen to ignore content by ..." for each post they make very much ruins the point. When someone quotes that user, you can still see the quoted content, also doesn't make much sense, though I can at least see why this would technically be difficult to remedy. I also have a lot of them requesting reciprocal ignore, so the users they ignore don't see their posts either, but I'm less convinced that one's a good idea.
